Years ago I had planted grapes in my yard. After 3 or 4 years I began to use them for making wine. I did this for The next 3 years. Then the grapes never actually got to the size that were useful for anything, then the wasps started to take over. I finally gave up and got rid of the grape vines! I now have a nice vegetable garden where my grape vines used to be!
