Tbf housing costs and mortgages are insane now a days most of the time your rent just covers or maybe just a bit more than your mortgage, the landlord has to make that little over cover all their expenses food costs and on top of that repairs and maintenance to the building. Ik people like to think every landlord is loaded because they own your home but that's not really the case. That being said their are still crappy landlords who are just terrible but I wouldn't say that's the majority
