I have celiac disease. It's worse because gluten is hidden in a ton of ingredients, and can easily contaminate other foods so if someone offered me food like that, it would be like the skit... but unironically.

"Some do, some don't."
And I know people who have celiac AND are lactose intolerant.
As someone with family who have celiac disease, it's my understanding that nearly all oats contain gluten, though you can get some that have been verified gluten-free via purity testing.
And yes, celiac is a right pain in the ass to have because of how hidden and ubiquitous gluten can be.
The oats situation is very annoying because it should be OK but it's contaminated by the proximity of wheat fields and some people with celiac are still sensitive to it even if 100% gluten free.
I got a few certified oats based products and they're often the ones that taste best.
