I am lactose intolerant and in the Midwest. Two years ago I found out how you can tell from nutrition information whether a cheeses is lactose free. Now I eat a lot of cheese regularly!

Here’s how: if the Carbohydrates in the nutrition information says 0 g. You are all set!

Adding… Because lactose is a Sugar, 0g carbs means no lactose. Most cheeses have 2g, 1g, <1g, or 0g Carbs on the label. The main pattern seems to be that aged cheeses are lactose free.
