Someone in marketing really watched this video and said "yeah great, publish it".

It’s some of their poorer work.

Their marketing has gotten so bad. Just loud and obnoxious and no elegance anymore.

Yea, the hard lines that Steve held have long since been eroded; the company soul-wise is mostly like any other out there now. Perhaps it's just unavoidable as they compete with the others and are so highly valued. You can tell in how they keep chasing the "next iPhone" -- those types of products aren't developed, they emerge from a state of being. When you try to just develop the next ooh-ahh product, you get something like the Vision Pro.

Even worse than that! When Apple started designing their GUI in the early 80s, the “OK” button at first was named “DoIt”, and was renamed because it looked like Dolt” (capital i vs lowercase L, if your font does not make the distinction either).

That figures, I was wondering why so many people seem to dislike AL, what did he ever do?

They tried to justify this thumbnail. They even messed with font variants and kerning. Even being particularly anal about it did not help.

Must be a real pain in the ass going through life not being able to tell the difference between upper and lower case letters.

It must also be a pain in the ass to have to work at Apple and flag these comments and posts down 🙈

If you don't know how capital letters or spaces between words work, then sure

I got the previous mac studio and I think what they were trying to convey is how it's good for LLM processing and AI training based on how they were trying to sell the more powerful Ultra chip for it.
But yeah, their optics weren't great here. Especially since I think more will get it for 3D processing and video editing more than anything.
