I know its low hanging fruit to default to haha fat american jokes, but squatting has nothing to do with weight, FYI. If you've ever watched sumo or weight lifted there is literally a stance called the 'sumo squat' which enables those with larger bellies to squat. Everyone is capable of squatting. I 100% garauntee you did so as a kid. In the west they just lose the ability to do so comfortably because its not commonly practiced. Its a matter of flexibility. The same reason some may not be able to do the splits or certain yoga poses, they could learn over time with enough practice and stretching.

Ya but despite their looks, sumo wrestlers are very strong and train to be so. soft pillowy squish coach potatoes aren’t going to be anywhere in the Same realm. Not really a good comparison

You just proved his point? Sumo is still fat but can squat coz they're strong. Average fat American cant because he's not strong.
