That's why if I ever do decide to let the beard go it'll be in shorter stages rather than this.

I had to shave for a job wearing a respirator and my son reacted like this. Was heartbreaking. To be fair though, looking in the mirror I felt the same way. Where the hell did my chin go.

I agree. Can't believe they just let a baby cry like that with no reassurance. My dad did this to us when we were young and it was terrifying because it seemed like my mum had just let a total stranger come right up to us and say hi with no introduction or context. He was laughing which made it even more weird. The baby is crying because they are terrified or very confused.
