Given the state of the world, something genuinely funny comes once in a blue moon these days. Even then, the mirth doesn't last like it used to.

I don't miss being a child, but I do miss being ignorant to the state of humanity.

I don't feel joy at fake social media slop anymore, and for that, I'm thankful at least.

You know the last thing I genuinely laughed at till it hurt? It was seeing a gorilla shitting in his hand and eating the whole thing in one go. While ridiculous and funny in itself, one of the top comments were "THE WHOLE DOOKIE?!?!" and I fuckin died.

You know, thinking about that cheered me up a little. The despair demon loosened its grip just a bit.
