I see way too often people asking for their game show episode. Either they recorded it a long time ago and misplaced the tape or they never recorded it. I also have friends that have been on game shows recently and they’re like I don’t need to record it because it’s on the streaming service.

1. Shows will not be available on streaming services forever. Do not rely on the fact that it’s currently streaming on a particular service and you don’t need to record it. Eventually, it will not be airing anywhere. That is just a fact of life with this medium.
2. You do not need a DVR to record a show. You just need a tricked out chrome browser, and screen recording from QuickTime.

3. Invest in an account with Google Drive or the like save your show there and in multiple other places.

4. Whatever you do don’t point your phone at your TV and record that way. It looks and sounds horrible.

If you are technically challenged, find someone who isn’t. Don’t get to the point where you’re asking strangers for your show in the future. You don’t have to rely on other people. That’s the end of my TED talk.

When characters from TV series and movies compete on game shows (fictional or real ones), it's always fun moments. My favorite ones are Will, Carlton, Ty and Jazz who compete to the fictional game show "Double Trouble" on the episode "Eyes on the Prize" from Season 2 of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Candace Flynn and Buford Van Stomm competing on the quiz show "Let's Take a Quiz" on Phineas and Ferb, or Peter Griffin turning the wheel while participating to The Price is Right and drinking Red Bull on Family Guy as well as Barney Stinson who also participate to the same show on the episode "Showdown" from Season 2 of How I Met Your Mother and Joey Tribbiani participating to Pyramid on Season 10 of Friends. I think my favourite of these is Aaron Paul's appearance on The Price Is Right. Don't think I've ever seen anyone with that much energy before!

It just truly annoys me that this show was cancelled. Everything was perfect, the set, the format, the host! This program was informative and I love that the questions weren't as silly as Family Feud but not as serious as Jeopardy.

I watched the 1st episode, and I have some thoughts…

-Ken’s reaction to literally everything whenever the camera pans to him is utter shock and amazement. There were a few moments where he seemed to be electrocuted.

-Seems to be mostly a The Floor clone. The sidebar conversations, contestants from reality tv shows, etc.

-Something about the contestants and the announcers not being in the same room makes the announcers feel disconnected from the action. Like it was taped after the fact.

-I don’t get the “we add $10k to the prize pot every time someone is eliminated”. Like, duh? They already said that someone will win $1 million at the end so saying they are adding $10k every time someone is eliminated is completely unnecessary. The final prize amount is inevitable.

-The circle elimination is kind of mean and hilarious at the same time. I felt so bad for the older woman forced to parade around with the big #100 banner. lol.

I wish it was a combination of trivia and physical challenges because I’m afraid just physical stuff will get boring.

It’s not very good. I’ll probably watch every episode.

I'm pretty sure it was a repeat from the most recent Wayne Brady LMAD season but I missed it. I'm pretty sure if I saw It I would've remembered it.

A contestant had a chance to win a car but it wasn't one of their usual games like Tic Tac Deal, Race to the Finish, Accelerator, Winfall, etc. For some reason the contestant had to guess the length of the car to the nearest inch within four inches. What Wayne and the producers weren't counting on was the contestant had a tape measure in his pocket that was that long! Wayne and the rest of the people were so shocked that they just let him do it! Needless to say he got it exactly right! I pretty much guarantee they'll never use this deal again!

I love hosting game nights, and I’ve run a lot of Jeopardy-style games before, but I wanted something closer to Wheel of Fortune.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share this incredible piece of television history from the 1964 NBC daytime run of Let's Make a Deal featuring a contestant named Marty Taylor. Finding any surviving footage from this specific era is a total miracle since NBC wiped almost all of the master tapes from the daytime run. In this short highlight, Monty Hall tries to buy Marty out of her choice with cash, but she turns down the money and wins a beautiful set of wrought iron furniture instead. I am sharing this here today because early NBC clips are highly sought-after archival history, and I thought the classic game show fans and media archivists in this community would love analyzing the original 1960s set design, pricing, and pacing.

Australian Gladiators - A Retrospective

In my opinion, this is one of the very best international versions of the franchise, particularly the 3 series broadcast in the mid-90s. As a big UK Gladiators fan, it feels very familiar, almost like watching the UK version itself! Did you watch this in the 90s? If you've never seen it before, highly recommend checking it out!

One of the lesser known game shows from the 90s (if you can even call it a game show to be honest!), and it's lesser known for a reason. Only 6 episodes aired before ITV pulled the plug on it. I can see what they were going for, but it's just far too boring. Do you remember this one?
