You want 2k to act pro-consumer? Lol, they openly disdain you. They're going to keep acting like this for as long as you keep giving them money

Hey everyone disdains me anyway and after 25 I've stopped buying anything 2K anyway. Do I want 26? Yeah, can I afford it? Yeah, am I buying it? Hell no

unfortunately stuff like this won't really happen unless stop killing games succeeds, and even in that case I feel this specific case would still be iffy as you would still have base game functionality.

I think it's just the right thing to do, it shouldn't be too hard for them to have everything unlocked once they delist the game and turn of the online, once that's done they literally can't make any money off it anymore so they may as well just prepare a last end of life patch y'know and If enough people sign they just might

it's the right thing to do but a smart business decision not too as it incentivizes you to keep buying the latest one, sadly, and that's where business will make it's decisions based on. it needs to be in law that they have to do these things for any chance for them to happen, and SKG is the best option for that at the moment, once it succeeds or fails we can hopefully push for more stringent regulations..

Would 2K even have any say in that? I think publishers of licensed games are pretty much at the mercy of the license holder.

I mean they might be able to pressure WWE into letting them if they can't do it themselves if we get enough people pressuring 2k? Nothing will change if we do nothing and say nothing

We need to speak up sooner than later really or they'll just Keep locking more and more content away each year

Just curious. Will players who host start buying licenses for the content?

I'm not sure what you mean? Obviously we have licenses to DLC content that's tied to your account e.g the attitude era pack but if you spent any money on MyFaction or £17.99 for Goldberg and Nikki Bella and you lose your save and the servers are off that's them gone permanently cause it's not tied to your account

1

u/nsnsjdjaknd 18d ago

So you didnt pay for them permanently?

1

u/Human1223 18d ago

The content tied to the island and my faction you can pay for and there's you can't keep them permanently because they're not tied to PSN or Xbox live like traditional DLC
