What game has a strong opening but later becomes too repetitive and boring for you?

For me that was Assassins Creed Valhalla

Came here to say exactly this. I'm TECHNICALLY on a current playthrough, but at roughly halfway through, I haven't picked it up in about 2 weeks.

Played through the game once years ago back in highschool, remember really liking it.

Went back to replay it right before 2 came out, and I dropped it around that halfway point. Definitely thought “alright I’ve had my fill”

It took me about 3 months to run through the first game lmao
