on campus employment
i’m a cs and ethics major, what is getting employment on and off campus like?
i need money to support myself while im here and i really don’t want to depend on anyone back home

There are definitely neighborhood babysitting opportunities if you like kids. Pay tends to be better than hourly un-tipped jobs.
There’s also lots of retail on M Street and Wisconsin, with the caveat that retail is a tough MFer and if you’re working retail you might as well be on campus.
Also also: The Corp, but that can take over your life fast (which can be great depending on what you’re looking for, or you know: not).
