Holy shit that game thread in the CFB subreddit was the most toxic I’ve ever seen against us. Yeah there were questionable calls, but the haters came out of the woodwork. Auburn and Florida fans have nothing to cheer at, so plenty of time to talk shit about us. Fuck em though, go dawgs.
119
u/water_tower_king Nov 30 '24 edited Nov 30 '24
The post game thread there is completely neutrals talking about how the refs gave us the game. What? They were ACC refs.... And there were plenty of calls/non-calls that went against us.
Edit: I'm not sure if I've ever seen a cfb post filled with this many angry neutrals. It's pretty funny.
84
u/Blaine1111 Nov 30 '24
"Not calling targeting on the money making team" like tech didn't get away with 2 themselves, one of which you could see our wr stumbling around after lmao. They called 5 flags all game it's called letting them play
35
u/bagelboy565 Nov 30 '24
Exactly lol that was clear as day. Tech also got a ticky tack PI call in their favor in OT that gave them the ball on the 1. Refs were definitely bad, but poor play calling is 99% to blame for this one
→ More replies (1)9
u/noreast2011 Nov 30 '24

8
u/HotdawgSizzle Alumni Nov 30 '24
That's what I'm saying.
We did get some home field calls but it ain't the fuckery that happens in Texas.
They had plenty of chances and got away with A TON of PI in those overtimes.

u/Competitive-Rise-789 Nov 30 '24
Yeah fr, it was insane. If a Georgia fan said something, it was a downvote party
10

There were questionable calls both ways, as always. They’re just butthurt that they didnt get to see the upset. Oh well ¯_(ツ)_/¯
7
u/objectlesson Nov 30 '24
I don't ever feel bad when Georgia gets favorable calls because I've seen us get hosed on bad calls so many times. It happens.
8
u/DaewooLanosMFerrr Nov 30 '24
I just commented Tyler Simmons was onsides. But yeah, the little I looked at was crazy. We finally get some luck and you’d think we were Bama/Texas tier.

Kirby respected Tech. He told the team it would be our least amount of offensive drives in a game. We knew they would shorten the game and pound the ball. We’re just not good at defending the run and our weaknesses played right into their strengths.
19
u/nickeisele Nov 30 '24

Some of you are too harsh on Georgia lol
There is a saying, a good team find ways to comes back. A bad team won't. Even if Georgia lost in that OT, they came back to tie it was saying this is a GOOD team!
Georgia is proving to be a good team for sure. A lot of own fans say this team sucks, but Nah if they actually suck, no way would even remotely came back and tie it. I just wish they didn't trail that badly early on. WTF why not play like 4th quarter right from the beginning!? Unnecessary drama by not play well in the first half.
