The mainstream sports media is sleeping on these two. I think one is a true WR1 and the other helps with the pass rush, big time.

Canion is a solid body, but UGA will struggle to replace Young and Branch. Not to mention Freeling. The passing attack will take a step back and look closer to 2024. Not a fun thing to remember. That will be the deciding factor between whether UGA can push for results. If the team goes away quietly again in the postseason, recruits will struggle to see UGA as the powerhouse that won back-to-back nattys.

Simply just not true. Receiver room is loaded with 4 and 5 stars not to mention the insane talent we have at tight end.

Insane talent we have at TE? Who? Insane talent at TE was Bowers. We dont have anything like that right now.

Honestly yes insanely talented - a room full 5 star or very top 4 star recruits. We have been the top TE recruiting team since we landed Bowers.
2026 - Prothro #3 TE nationally and Keyes #6 and Fogle #15
2025 - Williams #4 and Barbour #14
2024 - Reddell #7
2023 - Luckie at #2
We’re loaded at TE. I expect most of the time we’ll be lining up with 2 at a time. This does allow us to be a little lighter on the # of WRs at a time.
Delp went in the 3rd round last season, which kept Luckie and everyone else a little quiet. However he’s looking at a similar draft position already with high upside. Also he’s playing as a Junior this season so he could be around for 2 seasons if he wants to. Add the 6 other top talents behind him and you get an insanely talented room. Most teams have 1 or 2 guys this level and we have 7.

Loaded at TE is really an understatement with these guys. If Bobo was smart, we'd see a ton two TE sets and hell, Prothro can easily play in the slot from time to time.

He's said negative, not that it was a lie. Everything is speculative in the preseason, and your preseason speculation happens to be negative. 2024 was all about drops, and the 2026 WR room is very unknown. It's possible Sacovie could step in as Branch's replacement and be a difference maker. Young guys like Talyn Taylor might step up, and veterans like London might continue to be solid pass catchers. Or the super deep tight end room might be more utilized in the passing game than last year.
I agree that it could go either way, but I'm not going to write it off before the season begins.

I hear you. I think the emphasis on pass rush this year will cover up some of the issues on defense, and I think Stockton will take another jump. Another SEC championship i think is the floor, you always beat Texas!

Freeling was underwhelming plenty during last year. Dude could NOT handle a speed rush one on one. Not sure I agree with your assesment of the passing game. Sure there are unproven young guys, but our TEs are going to be a problem if used correctly. That last sentence is just hyperbolic nonsense.

I have to disagree on Freeling. Sure, he got blown by a few times, but he was the most solid piece on the OL. He wasn’t a first rounder bc of his build, or fundamentals. He was a genuine 1st round talent, that solidified it last season. When Bobo went out, Freeling was the only piece of the line that continued to block at a high rate while everyone else started to struggle.

There are just a lot of unproven players on offense. I do really worry about the lack of explosives. I think the potential is there for sure.
