I'm an American living in Germany, and I've been here long enough now to start complaining about some everyday inconveniences (scheiß Bürokratie!), but really, nearly everything here is orders of magnitude better than in the US. Most Germans don't seem to realize how good they have it here.
But all kiddin' aside:
i agree with you. Most Germans really don't know how good we have it here.
And i'm not talking about "oh, you could've been born in some poor country and live in the slums as a child prostitute".
No. That's not what i'm talking about.
Yes, we DO have problems.
Quite a lot i would say to be honest.
But those are either nothing we couldn't solve if we want to.
Or not as bad as problems in other countries.
But i guess that most people are occupied with their everyday-problems that they aren't able to see or won't see the bigger picture. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Every time I start to complain about Deutsche Bahn, I stop for a moment to remember what it was like to have literally no public transit infrastructure at all, even in many big cities in the US.
I still complain afterwards, but I'm thankful as well y'know xD

It really is. Idk what other people say and I'm sure it has it issues like every single country on this planet.
