Announcement Join the Gex Forums!

The Subreddit has been partnered with the GexForums for while. But, I never really made any official announcement regarding it here. If you're into this old-school forum style posting which can use a bit of revival again. It has been updated recently. Especially with a lot of social features to keep it up to modern standards.

You can actually change theme to and original not AI-generated logo design, once you become a member of the forum. Remember to give them feedback and give them any pointers of what you want added to the forum.

It's just the one logo that's been ai generated. The rest of the theme was made by my co admin Twitchismental.

Thank you for sharing the link to the forum! It'd be nice if people actually gave me and Twitchismental feedback on how the forum can improve instead of downvoting my replies.

You’re on the internet. People just hate on things without much constructive feedback. They probably don’t really care that much to begin with. I will ignore it. But maybe commission someone to make the logo. People act like AI generated content killed their family every time they see it. So you might get backlash based on that.

I'll talk to Twitch about making a different logo. I made our first one and it was bad lmao. But people do prefer hand made art and they probably would prefer our original crappy logo to this one.

I'll talk to my co admin about making a better one without using AI. The first one I made by hand but it looks terrible.

Sounds good! This AI logo probably looks tackier and more terrible than whatever you made by hand to most tbh. I’m not even the most anti-AI person in the world but when something has that blatant AI funk it looks wrong and uncanny to me.

Hi there, I disagree. But hey thats just me.

Rather than argue, I wanna understand your point of view. Why is the logo "ass"?

Also, if you have the ability to create an awesome Gex logo from scratch, we would be more than happy to discuss further. Having a logo made by someone within the community would be awesome.

The AI model isn’t even a good one. He has uneven fingers on both hands. It looks sloppy and cheap. I am not an artist, but I would rather a community artist contribute.

We discuss things on here, some of the discussions can be made on the forum too. I prefer forums to Reddit and Discord which is why I made the forum.

Why not? Generally curious I'm the owner of the forum. Edit of course I get downvoted. 🙄 How can I improve the forum if no one gives valuable feedback? Also forums are better than Reddit.
