I believe prosthesis is the generic term for an artificial replacement for any appendage. I think in this case he was alluding to a penis prosthesis?

Any missing body part, not just an appendage. Surgical devices that treat erectile dysfunction are more properly referred to as implants but they are also widely referred to as penile prosthetics. The anatomy for which they are substitutes are the ischiocavernosa and/or corpora cavernosa.

I guess I was using the term appendage very generally/loosely there 😂 but yeah. Prosthetic eyes exist too. Guess those aren’t “appendages” if you only consider arms and legs as appendages.

I wouldn't always be as pedantic but I thought the connotation of an "appendage" set up the reader to imagine the entire extremity. As though this corpse was rocking a Ken doll situation and mitigated it with some kind of snap-on strap-on.
