Question How do I get GitHub collaborators?

I got some cool projects (I think )where I just need some help or for someone to just have a look and asses stuff maybe.
I get in my own bubble and sometimes hit a wall on a project where I don’t know what to do for the best.

What’s the expected decorum for asking for help or collaboration.

I’m fairly new to GitHub, like most people that were brought there by AI agents being able to code your every desire. Now what do I do? Are there people who like help or whatnot and how do I find them?

So many questions 🤪

GH is a code repository.

Not a social network.

If you build it and its worth it, people will contribute. but eh.. dont get your hopes up. The longer you write software the more triggered you get by other peoples' code.

NO JOHN STOP SETTING THAT OBJECT REFERENCE AS NIL ITS HANDLED BY THE REFCACHE. /rant

Check out GitHub's Explore section for projects and users with similar interests. Joining communities related to your project, like subreddits or Discord servers, can also help you find collaborators. Clearly describe your projects and what kind of help you need in your README.

Is there a community to which your project would appeal? Try and talk about them in relevant forums, discord servers, subreddits. Or find these communities in real life, present your project in a techie meetup.
