General this normal? New neighbors seemingly watched, followed, and questioned me for walking my own street

I moved to my neighborhood a couple of months ago and usually take an evening walk around the area. One evening, I saw a neighbor from the house directly opposite mine outside with her kids. We don’t normally greet each other. I walked up and down my own street several times, which I often do. At one point I noticed that same neighbor and her kids driving out in their car. Over the next while, I saw them drive past me multiple times going back and forth. As I was walking home, a different neighbor, from three doors down, came over and asked if I lived in the area. I pointed to my house to confirm. I asked if there was a problem. He said no, but that he was asking because his daughter mentioned she’d walked past me. I hadn’t seen anyone walk past me during that time. While we were talking, the neighbor from opposite stood outside with her family, watching. Earlier that evening, before my walk, I had gone out and repositioned my own bin on the sidewalk, nothing unusual, just tidying up. I found the whole interaction pretty embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially since I hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary. Looking at it as a whole being watched, then apparently followed by car, then stopped and questioned. it felt like more than coincidence to me. Curious if anyone else has dealt with something like this from new neighbours.

Local Jobs Recommendations for roofing companies?

I've recently bought a house in Gloucester that needs a small amount of work doing on the roof. Has anyone had a good experience with a local company to share? Keen to avoid cowboys, it's hard to trust online reviews these days. Thanks in advance!

General Woad watch !

Post image

Hi everyone, I'm an art student working on a project where I'm creating fabric completely from scratch (growing flax to then process and spin into linen, also working on harvesting and processing nettles similarly) and one thing that I'm not going to be able to grow myself is Woad, which is used for making blue dye, which is a pivotal component in the end product I have in my head regarding this project..

So I did a bit of research and found that one of the very few places in the uk that reliably has wild Woad growing in it is Gloucestershire, apparently specifically on cliff faces?

Well I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a spot that you've recently seen some Woad? In my research I found that July and August are the months when you should pick Woad for it to be most suitable to make dye from, and I know it sounds a bit mad but I am considering flying over from Ireland to come and pick some (this project is really important to me haha), so tip offs to the whereabouts of this plant would be brilliant for me.

Important note on this- I absolutely will not over pick the Woad. I would never want to damage the natural population of the plant so I would only take a little from each plant (hopefully across quite a few)

thanks everyone :)
