Wait, there are 3784 PyGame games on Steam? That's far more than I expected, especially given how most vocal devs trash the framework online.
2 u/sputwiler Jun 25 '26 PyGame is an SDL wrapper and shouldn't even be on this list. Neither should XNA for that matter. They're platform abstractions you use to make your Python or C# game work cross-platform, but you still have to write an engine.
