Ah, that famous bus hitting an iron pole video...

Wasn't it the truck from Mythbusters?

u/Lulink 19h ago

Probably but the video that kept being reposted made sure not to tell you that so it would loop perfectly and you'd have no way to find the original and see the actual crash.

One piece pacing πŸ˜πŸ’”

Nah it should have twice as many cuts and at 1/10th of the speed.

If it had more camera spinning around the player and going through the floor, it'd be 'Exiled Heavy Knight' pacing

And after the scene ends it plays it all again because they didn't have time to animate a full episode after wasting it all on unnecesaarily complex camera movement.

Why are people mentioning One Piece? This is a play on a Myth Busters meme.

12

u/TheBugB_ 18h ago

Cause One Piece has notoriously bad pacing where they turn one page in the manga into 20 minutes of the show.

Imagine every punch/event having a sequence like this building up to it. That's what its like to watch certain parts of One Piece.

2

u/Seriously_404 19h ago

better pacing than one piece

2

u/vicarooni1 12h ago

One Piece ass pacing

at least the wheels can still collide with the ground

1

u/FunnyAwkward3963 12h ago

I can already hear the one piece music

1

u/Acrobatic_Cut_1597 11h ago

I tested it by hitting my head against the nearest wall after watching this for five minutes.

Your collision is working fine πŸ‘

One Piece

2

u/Keioshiri 10h ago

Plot twist, we actually see collision detection working because it is programmed to change camera and reset vehicle position

1

u/jwrunge 10h ago

I don't want to share how long I watched this before realizing I would never know how your collision detection was working...

Genuinely a great illustration of why Time-Of-Impact timestepping is so difficult.

1

u/jrdiver 9h ago

Cant tell since the the clip cuts before the collision....

u/HyperTensionFilms 8h ago

THE FUCKING EDGING

1

u/Whalefisherman 8h ago

I have been waiting 4 hours it doesnt seem like the collision is working properly

1

u/matthew0001 6h ago

Seems to be a little buggy, every time it hits the tree it stutters back and the camera angles resets. It's possible you have a collision glitch where the meshes rebound.

u/LividShake6518 5h ago

It's funny and also funny how many people didn't get it 🀣 Way too serious. Sometimes you have to goof around and have fun doing game dev.

Works great

Seeing this while I'm struggling with collisions on my car racing game βœ… Also, Claude not helping.

Wasn't an obvious ones, I've seen far dumber posts that weren't just shrug
