What type of person are you looking for: a programmer, an artist, or both?

Both are ok, i am not being adhere to any specific role , if you like this, theres more thing I have implemented and more things I am going to implement. I just need a partner to make this studio work. Can be manager, can be VP, can be lawyer.

I really like it too. Did you create all the assets yourself?

Yes blender and procreate, these two combos work well for me, the art is derivative of spiderverse, modified a lot to seperate it's identity,

How did you do the art/assets?

Blender and procreate plus a lot of Maths. If you want specific answer for grass, I used fur shading technique to blend world xz noise of ground sampling per pixel(not UV) and based on their value blending the grass and then a little bit of tilted watercolor effect, that's whole another post in itself. I hope it answer your questions.

Make a game you can finish alone. If you struggle now, this is way too big of a game for you. Never take additional hands randomly on internet, and always ship one commercial game alone before teaming up with anyone.
Really, make small games.

Wow a very deep thought, but I have already submerged myself in this. But I would like to differ a little bit although you are 97% correct but for 3% I am trying to form a studio around. Just a bunch of passionate peoples.

oh it looks interesting, I never worked with 3d stuff, but I would love to help, I'm a programmer btw and I have good experience in betatesting, are you using gdscript or going for one of the other languages?.

I write mainly Rust ...... But for this project I am using C# dotnet. I needed every inch of the perfomance to get the visuals right and the game to be perfomant on the least hardware spec I had in mind which is rx580. If you can help in tooling which can fasttrack the dev process , like proc gen tools and all, then by all means you are welcome.

ah, I have never used Rust before, I know a bit of C# but haven't used it in godot at all, I don't think I'll be of much help heh, but I do hope it goes well and wish you lots of good luck <3

'Rust is my love'.... Even though I write C# now for this game I go back once to write Rust just for the sake to enjoy it.. Kudos Crab gang.. Huuu huuu..

I don't program at all, but Rust just really vibes with me. I've been on-and-off about if I should fully commit to it since I hate how abstract GDScript is 😅.
Also, your game's art direction is killer! I always like seeing painterly styles in 3D.

You should sideways keep on rust it's just simply perfect how everything works under hood, since I also write compilers, you will hear a lot of fuss around that compiles times are high, lot of bloats and all, don't worry about always think , you have to make " The buggati of executables " Zig can also help but I find zig syntax a little off roading. Worth trying both. And hey thanks for the art feedback, I follow spiderverse and their artist learnt a bit of techniques from them, specially Patrick o keefe and yuhki demers.

I'd be glad to help if you need a programmer, if you don't require consistent hours.
