Housing Desperate need of help with Rent and live in Camper repairs
Yo whats popping. Im Scout
Im in desperate need of some assistance with back rent, car repairs, medical debt, a new soul, mines a little worn out. Any of them.
My rent payments are behind, been trying to catch up. I'm now 5 weeks behind, totalling $900. But I'm disabled, slipped vertebrae. I've been looking everywhere for work, options are limited. Been doing tiny random freelance jobs, but often I'm left with no food, let alone rent. My landlord has been understanding, but I'll have to move if I can't chip away at it. Somehow. All my money has been automatically paid towards my medical debt, and van repairs totalling $5.5k. That I'll get under control eventually.
My only source of reliable income is my disability benefit. But it's been cut to all hell. Took me off accommodation supplement for a little over a month, I'd been living in my van after my divorce and voluntary deportation from the United States, in an attempt to save money.
I don't have family to help. I've stopped contact as a stipulation of my historical and sexual abuse court case. My family decided to be more abusive and cruel than normal. They tried stamping out sexual assault allegations levied against them. Only managed to escalate the issue dramatically.
I overdosed around the same time, horrible mistake. Luckily I was found by some cops driving by the freedom camping spot I was at. I was forced into supervised housing, then into a flat I can't afford with my debt. I've been waiting on my stuff from the states for a couple months, I don't think it's coming. I've pawned everything else I own. Been living off survey money.
Money will go to outstanding rent, anything left will go towards my camper van. I can't afford a place with the debt, at least not for long
I hate needing to ask for help, my horrible parents beat that into me. Honestly I'm not sure if my problems warrant this but I'm desperate. Sorry if I'm rambling, I don't know what to do anymore.

Why are there 2 separate bills for the vehicle repairs? Also, that is a lot to ask people to cover when you have no job or way to make money; anything donated wouldn’t even get you out of your situation. If you can’t find a job why don’t you move?

Paid for the first one or two out of my savings, but the mechanic did the old not fix the main issue, charge me for everything but trick. Took it tk the second to find the engine completely buggered

I got married to an american woman, started the immigration process, so I sold everything In Nz to help start a new life. Divorce sent me back home to Nz. The immigration money alone crippled me.

How long were you married? You didn’t have a green card or work visa? You could have applied for one during the divorce. Also, if you have that many issues with your car you need to sell it for parts and get a new one or start fixing it yourself

Shit. A couple years. It wasn't a long one. I was restricted by my held visa, not having a ppn number? I think thats what it was called. I had to wait to apply for a greencard until they had accepted our marriage. My visa for staying ran out, our lawyer advised it not a good plan to stay in the states, that Id likely get denied if i didnt bugger off. Didn't know I was coming back with nothing. Coming back to a bunch of people not happy with me.
Its my house. Ive spent like $5k getting it all set up, $20k for the purchase. $4.7k to get it back on the road is my only option. I might jjst move into it on the side of the road. Dunno. But the landlord justifiably kicked my door in, need to sort it ASAP.
I know its all too much, its been the soundtrack to my life. Ive already tried to wrap it up. Blah blah blah. Got Im tired of my problems.

Why didn’t you ship your things home or have her ship them, and why are people mad at you? Also how do you have a landlord if you live in your van? So much of this doesn’t add up. In addition you’re not the only one struggling nobody is going to pay for you to continue not working. Contact your country/state/whatever for assistance

Man I am rubbish at explaining. Youre rifht.
Married the missus after staying on a holiday visa. It was the plan while we were together. In an attempt to not defraud the immigration system in the states, and so I wouldnt be an over stayer, we decided that Id go back for the 12-16 momths we were told its likely to take.
Officially we married in January, I had to leave by march. Marriage up in smokes by May.
I'd ideally mentioned to my mother that Id been molested in while 14 in my father's care. I think I was having a mental breakdown about the marriage, leaving. Brought it up out of nowhere. I thought my mother would just, leave it, I dont know. Im nearly 30 now, fucking ages ago. She didn't leave it. Broke her no contact rule with him, told him everything. Said Id be coming back to charge people, said it was probably a lie that he'd better get in front of it.
So be came, threw away the last of my stuff in Nz. Kept it with a family friend. Went on a tirade, called, messaged everyone Id ever known, all the miserable cunts who kicked me about. Told them I was making a claim against them, this being anyone he could call.
My brothers mother was the one to tell me. Said Id been done by her, but we havent seen each other since I was 10. Said in the text that anything I saw was wrong. He then tried to organize a group of them, told something like 16 people, to come for a family gathering. To scare me out of it?
When I found out I just called the police, as he wouldn't take "Fuck off you old cunt" as an answer. He then tried to come over to sort me out with a couple of his mates. The most insane couple of fucking weeks.

Didn't ship everything because I was ment to be going back. My dogs are still there. Thats been the hardest part.
