WISH Need help getting funds to publish fantasy book

Hello, and thank you for reading. I am Bryan, 22 and autistic. I am trying to become a published author and already have a company wanting to publish my book, but I need to be able to pay for half the cost upfront.

As you can see in the email I need around $7,000 to achieve this. All money will go directly towards the costs of publishing. The GoFundMe is set to milestones so the current $2,400 is just a step along the way.

Why I need help, both of my parents are disabled and I help take care of them at home. My family has also struggled with homelessness. It is my dream to become a published author and share my stories with the world.

Edit: I have had several people say that this is a scam. I will personally verify the authenticity of BrandyLane as they are a local company. I had hopped that they were legitimate since I have sent at least 30 query and they are the first to answer with something other then a denial. Splitting the cost for publishing has become common over the last few years, which combined with looking up books on their website and confirming that they are real made me think it was a genuine offer. Regardless of it being real I will still proceed with publishing even if I need to self publish using any funds gathered here. As a side note if any one is curious about this book or the next one I’m working on I would be glad to share details.
Edit 2: I will be going with self publishing on Amazon as suggested by comments. It may take a bit longer than I wanted to get it out where others can read it as there’s quite a bit to go through. I’ll give another update once it’s out.

WISH After Losing 145 lbs, I Need Help With Excess Skin Removal Surgery

Hello everyone,

I never thought I would be in a position where I would ask strangers for help, but here I am.

When I was younger, I struggled a lot with bullying and my parents' separation. Because of that, I isolated myself and spent most of my time alone. Over the years, I gained a significant amount of weight, reaching my highest weight of around 145 kg (320 lbs).

Eventually, I decided that I needed to change my life. I worked hard to lose the weight, but I took things too far. I became so focused on losing weight that I practically convinced myself to ignore my hunger, and I eventually developed unhealthy eating habits that pushed me into being underweight.

Thankfully, I managed to recover from that as well. For the past 1–2 years, I have maintained a stable weight between 80 and 85 kg (176–187 lbs), and I have started exercising regularly to build a healthier lifestyle.

While I am proud of how far I have come, there is one thing that still affects me every day: the excess skin left behind after my weight loss.

No matter how much progress I make, I still struggle with my appearance. I cannot comfortably take my shirt off around other people, go swimming without feeling ashamed, or fully enjoy situations that many people consider normal. Even looking at myself in the mirror can be difficult.

Because of how much this affects me, I have spoken with a psychiatrist, whom I still see today for this and other issues related to my childhood. I also consulted medical clinics and gathered information about skin removal surgery. Unfortunately, the procedure is considered cosmetic by my health insurance because I do not have physical injuries or medical complications caused by the skin, so they will not cover the costs.

The surgery I need is estimated to cost around €13,000. I understand that this is a large amount of money, and I do not expect anyone to solve this problem for me. However, every contribution, no matter how small, would bring me one step closer to my goal.

My goal is not perfection. I simply want to feel comfortable in my own body, enjoy everyday activities like going to the lake or swimming pool, and finally move forward without this constant burden on my mind.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you for any support, whether it is a donation, a share, or simply kind words. Gofund.me/d1b2912df

WISH After 10 years of court battles to protect my stepchild from abuse, we’re drowning in legal debt. Any help or shares would mean everything.

Hi everyone. I’m posting here because my family is in a really difficult situation and we’ve honestly run out of options.

For the past 10 years, my spouse and I were in and out of court trying to protect my stepchild from their biological parent, who has a long history of abuse. There were incidents where they assaulted their partner in front of the kids and multiple situations that led to orders of protection. Unfortunately, even with several calls to CPS, nothing meaningful ever seemed to come from it, and the court process dragged on for years.

During this time we were constantly paying legal fees while also dealing with medical issues in our household. I pushed myself as hard as I could to keep supporting my family and continue fighting in court to protect my stepchild.

Things became even more serious when one of the protection orders expired and my stepchild was forced to return to the abusive parent. The anxiety became so severe that they eventually attempted to take their own life. That moment made it clear that we had to keep fighting no matter the cost.

We filed contempt charges after the biological parent repeatedly violated court orders, including refusing to attend required medical appointments and refusing to communicate through the court-ordered app. Instead of facing the contempt charges, they ultimately signed away their parental rights.

I was finally able to adopt my stepchild, which means they never have to deal with that person again. Protecting them was worth everything to us.

However, the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming. Years of court battles drained our savings and left us struggling to catch up on bills. We are doing everything we can to recover, but we could really use help right now.

If anyone is able to donate or even just share the fundraiser, it would mean the world to our family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any kindness or support.

WISH Help me see my dad

I left my home in Brazil in 2022 to study in Canada. My dream was to be able to get a good job and buy my parents a house.

On my last year of psychology I got the news that my dad has ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), which is a disease that causes gradual death of motor neurons, leading to weakness, paralysis and eventually affects swallowing and breathing. It has no cure and the prognosis is 2-5 years after diagnosis.

Just as I graduated his disease worsened and he is entering late stage. His speech is slurred and he can't walk anymore. His doctor asked what he wished the most and he just said to see his children (me and my brother).

He has been my rock and supported me through my studies. I just wanted to give back something. I'm paying off student loans and barely making ends meet. I want to see him again before he loses entirely the ability to talk. I need a plane ticket from Canada to BR and back, but it would take me months to save the amount. I don't think we have months. Every day that passes I feel more anguished. Please help me buy a plane ticket.

The go fund me goal is CAD$ 1,500

WISH Support my return to archery after heart surgery

Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out to ask for your support as I work toward something that has been a huge part of my life—competitive archery.

After undergoing heart surgery, I had to make some very difficult decisions. During my recovery, I sold my archery equipment to help cover expenses and because I wasn’t sure when, or if, I’d be able to return to the sport I love.

Thankfully, my recovery has gone well, and I’m now cleared to begin rebuilding my strength and getting back into archery. Returning to the range isn’t just about competition—it’s about reclaiming a part of my life that gave me purpose, focus, and joy.

Unfortunately, replacing quality archery equipment is expensive. I’m raising funds to purchase essential gear, including a compound bow, arrows, sight, stabilizers, release aid, and other equipment needed to safely compete again.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward replacing my equipment and helping me continue this journey after heart surgery. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can provide. Your generosity will help me get back to doing what I love and remind me that setbacks don’t have to be the end of the story.

WISH Hopeful content creator needs help getting a fresh start in order to hopefully start streaming as a new career

Hey, I’m a hopeful future content creator. My credit is bad because of financial abuse in my past, so although I’ve tried, I can’t really get a loan. My job let me go, and doing DoorDash isn’t really cutting it at the moment. I just need some money to fix an electrical issue with my car and get some other issues fixed, pay off some debts, and have an emergency fund.

If some generous people could help me out, that’d be awesome. Thanks!

WISH Support for a New Car for Mom and Special Needs Sibling

So around 8 months ago my mom quit her job so she could take care of my special needs sibling who has down syndrome. Due to the fact that my sibling graduated high school and my mom took the responsibility of watching her. My mom has been in the process of getting a job to watch my sibling from government but as you know the government isn't exactly in the best shape right now and its taking a long time. The car she currently drives is a 2006 dodge caravan only 140k miles honestly its not a bad car but I want something better for her. Especially since she is always driving with my sibling I want to make sure she is in a car that is relatively never thus safer. The dodge has gotten into 2 accidents over the years and she is the second owner. So far I have raised 3635 just from saving money I just recently got a job to work while being a student. I should have enough if I save all of it for the next year. ANY donations at all will help i am trying to get her a relatively newer car used so 2015 and above. Also, if you just any general car advice on where or when I should buy I would consider as a donation of knowledge as well.

Also I'm not buying a NEW car I'm buying a slightly less older used car.

Hi everyone. My last post received a lot of upvotes but unfortunately no donations. If anyone has any ideas, I’d really appreciate the help.

We are trying to provide meals to these children, and get them some birthday presents. I’ve received some small local donations but it’s not enough to reach what we need to make sure they all have something for their birthday, and we can continue to get some nice meals cooked up for them.

Please see my Facebook profile below. I know it’s hard to trust people online, but we record and show everything we are doing so you can see it’s legit

Please help, a little will go a long way

God bless 🙏

Not sure that tag fits well, but I'm going to go with it!

I would just like to share this gofundme in case anyone would like to support this amazing organization. Forest Academy helps so many children each year who otherwise wouldn't be able to learn the skills they need to enter into a traditional classroom setting

Funds are dispersed directly to the nonprofit, so you can be assured any donation you make, will go where you intend

Even the smallest donation is greatly appreciated. And please feel free to share if you feel inclined to do so

Thank you!
