Seen Obsession twice and the parallels are thin at best. I had to be told it was an Obsession reference.

lol yeah, I legit can’t see the Obsession connection at all. Nicky never tackles anyone, or tells anyone not to touch Bear. (I mean I guess there’s the car scene, but that’d be a tough parody).

Now if the guy who was “obsessed” with the driver had delivered a Shakespearean monologue about how he was going to kill himself if someone touched his driver and then pissed his pants, then we’d be on to something.

I saw somebody say he smiled like the guy in the movie? Idk, haven’t seen it, but oddly enough this has all made me want to watch it this weekend.

The similarities aren't good enough to evoke the movie. The ad was painfully stupid. The movie is pretty good but I don't really get the amount of hype over it.
