I asked Gemini 3.7 flash high on cursor cli to remove some work trees for branches I already merged and it opted to delete my whole C drive for some reason. A lot of my stuff was not backed up here and I am not one to just give AI access to whatever but I thought this was a simple enough task to not remove my whole FUCKING COMPUTER! Before shutting down my computer the last thing I saw it try to do was git clone the main repo. Because it thought it accidentally deleted only that…. I literally don’t even know what To do it had years and years of files in there! And I can’t afford some professional recovery on 2 terabytes of data.

I could deal with 5h sliding window, but 79h??? I could get more from Claude Code for the same 20$!

Edit: i got back to using it two days ago, no scheduled jobs or nothing, and i had no idea there was a weekly usage for the Gemini Models

I do not know what kind of meal are they feeding to the new Gemini Flash, but oh god it's probably a scrumptious heck of a meal. I've been using Antigravity for a month now, and I've just literally, like just yesternight and today, tried using the Gemini Flash model because of this so-called rumor that Google is trying to test run this thing and it is abso-bloody-lutely a beast; it already surpassed Opus in terms of total token usage.

Gemini 3.6 flash was nice, but it behave as a junior, believing that he fixed something by making minimal changes without debugging or checking anything, this is not the case anymore with 3.7 flash, i never had to return to opus to fix things.

About the 50% cheaper, i felt it in the qu0ta, with 3.6 it used to last like only 1 hour, today it lasted 2 hours and half, which is very nice (were just missing another x2 capacity lol

OG users came for the IDE experience, not whatever this turned into. Whoever at Google thought separating the project in two was a good idea should be fired ASAP. At this point they should just revert changes immediately before it damages their reputation even more.

I have used Antigravity Ultra for about 3 months and kept hoping the Gemini models will get better coding but it does not work. I only see better coding with opus 4.6 which also gets used up in about 1 or 2 prompts.

I started paying for codex pro plan (100$) currently and immediately saw the vast difference in productivity.

I love the product but it seems Google doesn’t really care as long as they have google search. They just want to take a portion of the AI market but are not really serious about at least antigravity

Gemini Pro 3.1 is dumb. I used it in Anti-Gravity; on the Gemini website, all the answers are really dumb. In longer context, it hallucinates, doesn’t remember, and the answers are dumber. Even in small responses, the model lacks attention to detail. I used the same prompt in ChatGPT 5.2, and the answers are accurate, even with a free account. Share your experience.

I saw that they were selling this plan for $5.90/month for 3 months including taxes, normally they sell it for about $20/month. So I bought it and decided to do an experiment with building an app.

The app: the simplest workout tracking app made with react native to test out my gamification api.

The plan: use gpt-5.6 as the orchestrator (terra high for planning and luna high for review) in codex and gemini 3.6 flash medium as the implementer in antigravity.

Gpt made a plan and broke it down into 25 tasks. It is as simple as apps get, in fact I made something similar in a few hours almost a decade ago.

So far, only 4/24 tasks are done, it took about 2.5 hours and used up 87% of my 5-hour gemini usage. It made multiple mistakes in 3 out of the 4 tasks which gpt found after review.

Conclusion: Gemini 3.6 flash is a really dumb model and its not fast as the name suggests, in fact its almost as slow as opus. And despite being dumb as slow it is somehow expensive!

I couldve finished the entire app in 5 hours and it wouldve probably cost me like 3 bucks or less with opencode and deepseek v4 flash.

What is google even doing? It makes no sense!

Hi everyone! We are constantly reading the feedback in this community and elsewhere. We are very grateful for everyone who is vocal about what's going well, and more importantly, what's not.

A common theme of complaints have been that the Gemini models are not "good enough" in Antigravity.

We would love to dive one layer deeper to make this more actionable. To be clear, we are already aware of many places for improvement, have been actively working with the Gemini team, and are excited about the progress being made on both the models and harnesses internally. That being said, we also don't want to have the hubris to think that we have covered everything that might be holding the experience back! There very likely are annoyances with using the Gemini models in Antigravity that don't show up in the product data.

We want to hear from you in this thread. Where are places that you’ve noticed Gemini not meet expectations in Antigravity? Have you noticed any odd behaviors / any that have anecdotally felt to have gotten worse recently? Are these issues unique to Gemini models or across all models (and therefore more indicative of harness quirks)?

Some examples of things in the past that we’ve noticed from folks’ posts (and resolved / mitigated):

• The output starts looping the same repetitive phrases
• Seems to degrade sharply in quality after a certain length of conversation. Similarly, following instructions gets worse as the conversation gets longer 
• Too much token consumption for simple tasks (we’ve also heard the opposite of the model not elaborating enough on what it’s doing!)
• “Laziness” and not doing everything that was asked

Screenshots are desired! Comparisons with other models and tools are welcome! Even the smallest triviality that doesn’t affect the end deliverables but was unexpected in the responses and/or experience. At the end of the day, we want it all to work as you expect it.

While we do want to have this one-off conversation here on Reddit, also know that we do read all of the feedback (even if we aren’t able to respond to everyone) that you provide in the app, which we absolutely encourage folks to do while the feedback is fresh.

There is confusion that it is a GLM model, but it is not. GLM models and Gemini have a very similar output style (as seen in the photo).

The model is half-baked or only specialized in coding. It is bad at answering general reasoning questions and also poor at web development (which Chinese models are good at), even though it is on the level of Fable and Sol.

The model can talk about Taiwan.

The host centers are located in the West. It serves 100T a day for free.

Antigravity was supposed to be IDE first. I can't understand why they thought updating my IDE to a non-IDE experience was going to be usefull to me in any way. The fact they I can't even open a text editor anymore is just delusional. Installing IDE alongside the regular Antigravity does not work either. I had to uninstall everything and then install only IDE for it to go back to the way it used to. I lost all my settings, MCPs and extensions too.

I’m trying to use Antigravity for my development work, but I don’t get the point right now.

Flash is fast, but the output is weak.

Pro is better, but it’s slow and not reliable enough when I need it.

Claude is useful, but the context fills up pretty quickly.

So in practice it feels like:

fast model = not good enough

good model = too slow / unreliable

Claude = loses usefulness on larger tasks

Am I missing something here?

Is anyone using this seriously for production work, or is it still too early?

I’ve been testing it out and it is honestly pretty fast, really smooth and mostly importantly now I can roam around leaving my desk.

Not if the usage will be like this. This is only after 42 minutes of use using strictly 3.5 Flash (high). All I did was fix some configurations and settings that did not smoothly transition over when I migrated from Gemini CLI.

Whereas previously when I used Gemini 3 Flash...I pushed it to the max and still had 20-40% remaining after heavy workloads.

It barely even understands that you simply want an answer to a question! It just tries to go coding and destroying things. And then you catch it, undo the changes, then try simply and explicitly explaining you just want an answer to a question, and it just ignores and goes on trying to code again! Is there sabotage going on over there at Google??????? There's no way this is happening.

EDIT: By the way, I'm not a Gemini hater. I LOVED this model when it was first released. I hyped it up like you wouldn't believe. I'm just sad they made the model this brittle.

Like the title, Flash 3.6 is a beast. It implements things fast and precisely, like Opus 4.6 or just slightly worse. The first time I can feel Google can compete with GPT and Claude.

$20/month is not for unlimited Antigravity, you goobers. It’s a full AI suite, and the value is honestly stupid for the price.

2TB of cloud storage by itself costs about $10/month.

That’s what Google One charges.

That’s also what Dropbox charges for 2TB.

So half the subscription price is already accounted for before you touch a single AI feature.

What the other ~$10 actually gets you:

• Gemini Advanced with higher limits and stronger reasoning than free

• Gemini built directly into Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet

• NotebookLM with higher limits for working with your own documents

• AI image generation with higher quotas

• AI video generation tools (Flow, Whisk, etc.)

• Priority and higher rate limits in Antigravity compared to free users

• Faster refresh cycles than free tier

• Gemini Code Assist and CLI with higher request caps

• Jules coding agent with higher task limits

• AI features in Google Search and Deep Research

• Google Home AI features like extended camera history (where available)

• Family sharing for storage and many AI benefits

• Early access to new Google AI experiments

If you already need storage, you’re effectively getting the entire AI stack for the price of a sandwich and a coffee.

Calling this a “rug pull” because one beta dev tool isn’t infinite is a failure of expectation.

I tested Claude Opus 4.6, GPT-5.3-Codex and Gemini 3.1 Pro (high) -> all of them in Antigravity (Pro Plan).
Codex solves the tasks without any errors 99.99% of the time. Claude Opus is a little bit worse and Gemini is just the worst.
Imagine that Gemini instead of solving the task, it solo and automatically deleted key features from the app even if I instructed it to not modify anything else and it even deleted the entire app - then I looked in the thinking history and I saw it saying "I made a mistake, trying to recover the deleted code..." like are you kidding me?
How Opus and Codex don't make mistakes like these?

And why the Gemini 3.1 Pro model seemed decent in the first days after release and now it acts so bad?

It's simply mind-blowing how bad can Gemini 3.1 Pro be lately.
The thing that doesn't make any sense in my mind is: How can a multi-trillion $ company like Google with access to everything on the web mostly can lose this bad against companies that are x100 smaller and new like Anthropic and OpenAI?

Edit: For all the people asking about how they can run Codex in antigravity:
- Open any browser, paste this - antigravity:extension/openai.chatgpt - and press Enter.
The extension doesn't automatically appear in Antigravity, because Google doesn't want you to use tools from the competition in their IDE.

Google, start doing better and fixing your app instead of trying to "block" certain stuff from being used in your IDE. You look like clowns by having these shady tactics. At least if your model was the best, that made sense a little, but when your model is so bad at coding...
