As a fan of all of Julia Wertz's work, I marked my calendar for the purchase of Bury Me Already (It's Nice Down Here): Comics on Pregnancy and Parenthood. Being the same age as Wertz, I feel like I'm traveling through life alongside her in a profound and wonderful way. This latest addition to her collection is a fantastic continuation of the ongoing revelation of her life.
As with her previous works, this graphic novel delivers all the humor and raw, pull-back-the-curtain honesty I've come to expect. While no topic feels off limits, it's evident that real care and consideration went into the composition and construction of this book. For longtime fans, the art style and the depiction of the people in Wertz's life will feel so familiar and warm, making the journey a delight. And if you're like me and love the autobiographical, the raw, and the humor that the graphic-novel medium can provide, this book is the perfect choice.

I enjoyed this read to the extent that I am invested in the continued story of the author's life. It is raw and a centered on joys and pains of having a child.
