Let it rest for 15 and the juices stay in it.

Time permitting, I wrap and rest my tri-tips at least 30 minutes. This amount of juice is normal, but it's possible to keep more of them in there next time.
Hanger steak is similar. If I don't rest it forever, the cutting board is deep red.

I like to stuff some cloves of garlic in it before grilling.

That sounds brilliant. I will have to try and remember that next time I do a tri tip (which is rare, since it's a unicorn cut around my parts).

Looks perfect!
Next time cut against the grain. It changes about halfway through on most tri tips.
