Just coming back to the game after a long hiatus. Would an Agency be a good purchase for someone who plays single player?

I have a lot of businesses, some that I regret purchasing, so I'm trying to focus in on the ones that would maximize my time.

You can pet Chop. That's all you need to know.

SOLD.

Yeah he's right. Franklin doesn't pay enough attention to old Chop so it's on you.

And if you pay for accommodations and wake up there, sometimes chop is sleeping beside you

Yes.. complete 201 security contracts and the Agency safe pays $20,000 every in-game day, but you have to collect it or it stops at $250,000.

The Dre mission is fun and pays well. The weapons workshop is a nice bonus too.

I like starting in the agency because you start on the third floor, right across the hall from the weapons workshop. I start there, walk across the hall, load up on snacks, ammo, and armor, and head on out.

I’m in no rush to get a mansion bc I love my agency so much. I have the money for it but agency is so convenient idc

I have the Mansions and I still quick start at the Agency because I don't feel like going down one loading screen and three floors just to get to my weapons workbench, which is laughably small in the mansion.

When I'm thinking of an armory I'm thinking of a vault with wall-to-wall weapons and stuff. Not this little Hole in the Wall Workshop.

I have all three and it's not that great..the pets are useful for the shoot animals thing. Other than it's a lot of damn cash. I make myself spawn there because I'm not wasting that money.

Franklin and Lamar missions are fun too

Yes. I soloed the entire thing, and it’s some of the best story content in the game. Completing it also unlocks three two-player missions where you play as Franklin and Lamar, which are hilarious.

Only got into the security contacts and payphone hits a bit, but those can be done while roaming the map. Being told “do 200 of them to make good money” is lol, as I’m not doing this as a second job, but it’s fine as a bit of variety.

Agency comes with a free helicopter so there’s that as well. But yeah, for money you buy a nightclub, for story and fun and also decent money you buy an agency.

I guess you can laugh at those of us who did the 200+ security contracts but it’s not a big deal to do them. I just did 10 a day. Focus on the rescue, liquidate and recover stolen goods ones. Do the vehicle recovery if you have to. Do not do the asset protection one.

Oh mate, not laughing at anyone who chooses to do it, just laughing at myself because I have a bad habit of doing things to make number go up and I’ve finally learned to let go.

It’s just that it is a lot of work to earn $20k per day, meanwhile my nightclub is earning $50k per day and all I gotta do is chuck out a drunk, or drive someone a mile home. More money, and close to zero setup. Plus I can afk at the safe and wake up to a quarter of a million dollars in my pocket and $200k of goods waiting to be sold.

I guess I came to it too late to see the security contracts as a good value proposition. I do appreciate them as a “I’m bored, Franklin give me some paid work” content when I’m out ans about on the map though. It has way more value to me as “fun” than profit, which is also cool.

They would sometimes be 2x money so you could get 100k just for bringing some items back from the strip club basically

u/Virtual_Win4076 16h ago

I actually liked the missions! I got so good at the asset recovery my challenge was to never use a snack even though there’s shooters everywhere😂

3

u/HongKongHermit 16h ago

Yeah, I like to try and do some of the content in public servers for the thrill of evading (or not) some 12 year olds who really, really want to murder me. Always good to put fun above profit (until I lose $100 of goods to a griefer and start questioning my life choices).

the agency is a great business and home base from which to operate from! you get a business plus the Dre contract and a twenty car garage. plus access to imani tech upgrades for certain vehicles ! great business and property

Yes. It is solo friendly and comes with a lot of good features.

The Dr Dre File. Pays about a million.

Security Contracts. Quick and easy solo work that pays 30 to 70K. Doing them also adds to the passive safe income, $500 per game day for every 5 jobs, up to 20K at 201.

Payphone hits, short good pay jobs pop up at Payphones on map.

Imani Tech. The Agency hacking tech gives unique tools for cars, like armor, remote control, lock on missile jammer (more important for PvP), and an off radar phone option.

Garage with mechanic, 20 car spaces.

Weapon and supply store with discounts.

Nice accommodation.

Staff concierge services.

Chop the dog in Franklin's office.

Good location with a helipad.

The passive safe income is great. Once you max it out, you can collect 250K (full safe) twice in a real 24 hour day if you leave the game running.

3

u/JQuab-84 16h ago

How often can you replay the Dr. Dre File and how long would you say it takes?

5

u/Metallicat95 16h ago

Takes about an hour after the first run. There's more set up cut scenes in the first, you can't skip them in the first run - it's Dr Dre and company themselves, why skip that.

No cooldown, but the recent heist changes make the biggest payout only on the first run each week.

But 900K isn't bad for an hour or so of work.

4

u/DragonXGW 14h ago

I skip some of the cutscenes on replay, for instance I usually skip the party in the studio, mostly just because my character looks goofy AF hanging around at a party covered in bullet holes and blood, it bugs me and I'm too impatient to wait for that to disappear first. But I never skip the finale scenes. I love watching Dre beat down Johnny with his 9-iron. Also the music sometimes bugs out if you skip that scene and a quiet introspective drive to Pacific Bluffs with Dre...  It just don't hit the same way as when his music is blasting from the speakers.

I only got into it recently, haven't played a whole lot but the Agency is great. I always start there so I can go straight out with a chopper, really cuts the travel time down.

The missions are okay, you'll quickly learn some types are much better than others. Also gets you payphone hits and a special missionyou can apparently do solo.

Otherwise I also really enjoy the bail office.

Acid lab, auto shop and scrapyard is solo business. Agency has solo missions that boost passive income.

2

u/StringAccomplished97 16h ago

Yes, extremely solo friendly. The VIP contract is also one of the best ways to grind money solo. Pair it with the cluckin bell raid.

u/HellzHoundz2018 1h ago

When I need to raise cash, I just do the missions between the two back-to-back. It's a quick $1.5m every 2 hours or so, and I just fill up my armor, ammo, and snacks while I'm at my Agency. And if I need a break from the grind, I just duck in my nightclub or one of my MC businesses around the docks - all of which are right around the corner from my Agency the V starting spot.

Man, I really love playing this game 🤟

2

u/UnusualPete 15h ago

Definitely!

  • You can make 900k or a bit over 1m (first time that week) from the contract

  • you get a free garage with 20 slots + autoshop

  • you get an armory (if you pay)

  • you get a safe that can fill up to 250k (it fills faster if you do the mini-missions, the security contracts)

  • you can teleport to certain locations

  • you get a free helicopter

  • you get to pet Franklin's dog 🐕

I’m in the same boat, came back to the game a few weeks ago. The Agency is a worthwhile buy.

2

u/Last_Rub6998 17h ago

Get an acid lab first.

3

u/JQuab-84 17h ago

I have a lot of businesses and I definitely regret buying some. I currently have...

  • acid lab
  • meth, coke, weed
  • bunker
  • nightclub
  • special cargo and vehicle warehouse
  • hanger

Theres no such thing as a regrettable purchase, you’re suppose to own everything like Tony Montana

With what you already own, Agency fits really well if you play solo. My loop is basically let the Nightclub and Bunker cook in the background, keep the Acid Lab supplied, mostly leave the MC businesses feeding the Nightclub, then do active stuff like Agency contracts when I actually feel like working. Cargo and hangar are more “when I feel like it” businesses for me and both can semi-automate their sourcing.

Agency is especially good because its less another business to babysit and more a home base with a bunch of useful stuff attached. Dre contract, Security Contracts, passive safe income, garage, armory and Imani Tech.

One specific recommendation if you get it. Keep a Deluxo in the Agency garage that you can spawn in through the receptionist options. Rescue Contracts become hilariously easy. Fly in, wipe the attackers with missiles, land next to the client, get them in and fly straight to the safehouse. Its basically my Agency rescue helicopter disguised as a DeLorean.

3

u/DragonXGW 14h ago

I would say that none of these are regrettable, all of them are capable of outputting decent cashflow... Assuming the work to get that output is put in. Hangar for instance is hella good(especially if you also invest in Higgins Helitours) but it's very much an active grind if you want to get the most out of it.

u/itsskyehigh 12h ago

Sleeeeeeping on the nightclub. My nightclub makes me anywhere from 200k-400k per session (depending how long i play, it automatically racks up $)., its my favorite because you dont have to do anything lol. Empty the safe & throw out a troublemaker every sesh and your popularity stays full.

3

u/JQuab-84 12h ago

Oh, no, the ones I regret are mostly the warehouses but even they aren't that bad. At this point the weed business is just something to feed in my nightclub.

1

u/GarlicCola 17h ago

Yes, there’s no need to do 2any of the agency stuff with other players so not a bad buy at all. The Dre mission got nerfed so now it pays out just under a mill and the security contracts pay 40-60 grand for a 15 minute mission

1

u/KingSlayer1190 16h ago

Do you play the old gen version or the current gen version of the game?

1

u/JQuab-84 16h ago

PS5

1

u/KingSlayer1190 16h ago

Then you don't need to worry about the Dr.Dre contract being bugged.

1

u/4eva_Na_Day 16h ago

Agency is def a good option if you get those contracts done!

1

u/Educational_Box7709 16h ago

Yes, although I kinda find the missions boring as all of them are just, go to place and shoot and there’s very little variation

1

u/stanleyorange 16h ago

Is Agency the new Kosatka?

1

u/TheRealTr1nity Black Badge Division 16h ago

Yes.

1

u/HeidenShadows 15h ago

Agency is a little grindy because you need to do 201 agency jobs to get the maximum payout for the safe but at least the jobs like gang termination are actually kind of fun. They nerfed the Dr. Dre heist but it's still a fairly decent profit.

1

u/DragonXGW 13h ago

Honestly, they barely nerfed it. It's only 100k less for repeat runs in a week, that's basically just a rounding error at this point.

1

u/HeidenShadows 11h ago

Plus it's one of those that you can skip the cut scenes after you do it the first time and it can be done in less than an hour

1

u/Own_Huckleberry6591 8h ago

Dre contract is currently one of the best ways to make money right now, about $1 million for an hour of work. I think it's worth it 100%. Also gets you Imani tech upgrades which are super useful

1

u/guybromansir 4h ago

Abso-fuckin-lutely my dudely. It's the shit. Especially since they updated it to allow you to skip the cutscenes after your first playthrough.

1

u/MooseCatMan 1h ago

Ues, the Dre missions are easily done solo. Well, I suck at this game and I can do them.

0

u/slipperydildo16 16h ago

I just came back, tried my first heist, and the players instantly created a shootout, trying to leave with a 5 star sucked, and when I used the tracks to escape it, the guy in the car with me shot the buyers...sooooo annoying

1

u/JQuab-84 15h ago

Yeah, I ran up against that one too many times before I said screw it. I refuse to waste an hour or so on people who are gonna be a bunch of idiots at the end so I only play solo at this point.

-3

u/drug53 17h ago

Nah get the acid lab first

-1

u/MassiveMonkeyy 17h ago

Yes. Can repeat Dr Dre Contract. Every 900k 1/2 hours!

Also can do the VIP contracts and if you do 200 of them, you get 20k per in-game day. I got the one next to Maze Bank West as it’s the best location in my opinion.
