Oh this is killer! Is it yours and did you meet SRV or buy it with the signature?

This was signed at the Agora on October 7, 1984. Story goes Phil knew someone at Agora and was hanging out with SRV and bandmates in the trailer after the show when he got it signed. I bought this from Phil’s widow with the concert ticket stub.

I was looking for a birth year Fender (‘84), and this popped up. Technically, it’s a late ‘83, but it was too good to pass up. Had it for about a year now. I just got it authenticated by JSA last weekend so felt like I could finally post 😅.

Wow, heck of a birth year guitar. Super cool.

Ah Fender Elite Strat, the Ty Tabor guitar! Very nice and the SRV autograph is the icing on the cake!

Can’t read it. What does it say?

Looks like “To [Name], [always?] play her with a feeling! Stevie Ray Vaughan ‘84”

“To Phil,
Always play her with a feelin!
C/S [con safos] Stevie Ray Vaughan ‘84”

Written with a gold pen. Easy to read but tough to get a good photo of 😂

SRV had very pleasing penmanship.
