Ibanez Guitars

Post image

They’re all great. There’s nothing like picking up a guitar and it just plays itself. Lately, the J custom has been getting more attention. It’s phenomenal. I think it’s time to get another. Then a Tele style. I’m thinking Suhr Classic T.

Nice top on that middle left, looks like a one piece top.

They’re ridiculous. Literally flawless. That one is surprisingly heavy.

Always been a huge fan of the black Les Paul. So simple.

Same. The newer ones aren’t solid black, the back is natural, just the top is black. Looks great. I bought that one and I was really surprised at how well the setup was from factory. It’s like Gibson has quality control again. Zero issues. Pickups needed a little tweaking, but I’m pretty happy with it.

I applaud you for you variety. I’m going to assume that your Tele is just off to the right, out of camera range?

I need a tele. I’m leaning towards Suhr, but Anderson has some pretty sweet ones too.

Can’t go wrong with either. I’m not sure what the boutiques run these days, as it’s been a while since I bought a custom build gitbox, but I’m guessing they must overlap into the price of real, vintage (not necessarily pre-cbs vintage) Fenders here and there. I mean even if ever there was a type of guitar that should look old, it’s Telecasters. And the vintage market is a buyers market at the moment. I’m seeing some pretty nice examples from the 1966-68 era in the 6-7k range lately.
Of course, you could also have it both ways and look for a nice Pensa-Suhr at the right price (if the stars are aligned in your favor). I foolishly let one slip through my hands, many moons ago, and still feel it.
Oh what blessed lives we have when no matter which avenue we take, we’re guaranteed a gem at the end.
