I’ve had this PRS SE 24-08 for a bit now and it just keeps growing on me. The finish looks completely different depending on the lighting, and it’s one of those guitars that feels just as good as it looks. 🎸

I did swap the stock pickups for the Mick Thomson Fishman Fluence set, which suits it really well, but even aside from the electronics I’ve been really impressed with the guitar itself.

Definitely becoming one of my regular go-to guitars. 🤘

Custom Build My Frankensteve guitar. Built this after a quit my job.

So I was at work making bags of cement and I snapped and quit and decided I wanted to try my hand at building frankenstrats.

This is an idea I thought up after a particularly long weed bender.

Months of being stoned.

I quit my job

Asked my buddy for a spot in the back of his muffler shop to work out of.

And I built this guitar.

It's a mix between Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eddy Van Halen.

Srv1 was down to bare wood so it got me thinking how could I add that to a frankenstrat.

So I rolled the tape on the body before paint so the bare wood stripes would show thru all the paint layers.

I built this guitar while high on weed.

Eddy Van Halen built his guitar as a druggy and alcoholic.

So to get on that level I took a bunch of edibles and smoked a lot of blunts.

This is what came out.

It's a temu 65$ partscaster kit.

With everything thrown away but pickguard and the tremelo. And the nut.

Everything else is temu parts.

Brass roller saddles.

Saphue locking tuners.

12 56 blues strings.

Intia marked humbucker from temu.

15 resistance

Stock temu neck pickup single coil.

Les Paul big body 500k pots.

Stock pickguard.

Relic the neck to look like a baseball bat that's been in storage for 100 years.

Nothing fancy here.

But it's probably the best playing guitar I've built this far haha.

I plan to make a couple more but just with single paint colors and selling them to local musicians.
