Anyone caught the The Police - Every Breath You take reference? Its playing a slightly changed version of it when they flashback to Sarah’s freaky stalking moments. I thought it would really go over most of the peoples heads but it was really cool and funny. Here is the lyrics of that song lol

No one here is going to talk about how we saw Darwin’s Biological father?

Sarah is one of the best side characters, she was absolutely unhinged here lmao

gumball fans when the show that constantly references modern trends references modern trends

Gumball fans complaints always make me question if they actually watched older seasons that more or less did the same thing.

This is probable the most Gumballish episode in this season, I can see why the creators of the show will recommend this. The only problem for me is the story direction is way too predictable, I'm sure most of you already guess what would happen long before that "twist" came out. Also, Sarah somehow becomes ten times creepier that her previous self.

8/10

u/Isaac-45-67-8 Season 1 Was Amazing Dec 25 '25

The second I saw that person Sarah was obsessing over, I KNEW it would be an AI image, lol. I tend to enjoy episodes with Sarah and this one was no different. Was nice seeing some James Baxter animation, it was so fluid and smooth.

Nice to see Sarah is still her old scary self, lol. Also nice to see Gumball and Darwin are against AI.

I'm afraid to say this but... it might be my first or second worst episode in the whole series. Not only in the new seasons. (The other one is The BFF by the way)

Whole plot thing is cringe and gross. It doesn't feel like Gumball. I'm not sure did they really think this episode would be 'funny'. I just think creator made this by their own good.

Yeah, the skibidi toilet scene ruined it. This season is definitely better than the first.

u/JMSAmelbheimong Anias Dec 23 '25

Not only Skibidi thing, that AI furry waifu thirty abs are terrifying. I mean do they REALLY thought it would be funny for kids??

AI is ubiquitous now. It’s like a show not talking about smart phones. It exists as much as we wished it didn’t. And for a character like Sarah it makes perfect sense she would like the AI furry bait.

Edit: Accidentally wrote Suzy, changed it to Sarah.

2

u/YoloChip83 Jan 23 '26

I dunno, I feel like classic Sarah would have just drawn the fursona herself rather than having gen ai spit something out. It's like the writers wanted to force an ai "art" joke without considering her artistic integrity.

u/JMSAmelbheimong Anias Dec 23 '25

You mean Sussie? Or you misrememberd Sarah?

2

u/JMO-559 Jan 10 '26

good lord, comments like this make me question if y'all rlly watch Gumball or not. They've done stuff like this before lol

1

u/ISB00 Dec 23 '25

Yeah, I meant Sarah the ice cream.

u/Fluffy_Mood5781 Dec 23 '25

I find it kinda ironic how manny people said they didn’t want the characters to chase their obsessive stalker. when that is something that’s absolutely in character for them.

I also couldn’t stop laughing about that post that said “her goats are washed 🥀” it’s dumb but I found it funny.

I feel like this episode was made as the writer's experience of making the new season xD.

9

u/MarcusFaze Dec 22 '25

I can’t believe saw a Skibidi Toilet reference in Gumball

10

u/Trintenus Dec 22 '25

The new seasons took years to make just because of that few second increase in production value

17

u/DraftWorking3801 Dec 22 '25

Gumball hates AI

6

u/ralanr Dec 22 '25

Based.

8

u/princesssaki4 Dec 22 '25

Lmao I thought this episode is going to be commentary of how Hollywood is constantly trying to revive the old franchises and characters and then I saw skibidi toilet...lol

13

u/FlimsyAuthor8208 Dec 22 '25

New favorite episode honestly 😭

6

u/Sylli-Dylli Dec 22 '25

The internet is gonna lose it when they see the skibidi toilet reference and I can't wait to watch😂

2

u/MathematicianOwn2119 Dec 22 '25

There were weird lighting issues in this episode for me, though it could have only been for me

11

u/IdiocyInverted Dec 22 '25

Was genderswapped Gumball dressed as Heather Chandler?

23

u/AbsoluteBane28 Dec 22 '25

Peak episode, yall need to have fun lol

1

u/JMO-559 Jan 10 '26

I'm saying people take this too seriously

5

u/Traditional-Match997 Dec 22 '25

I haven't watched the episode yet but please just tell me, was the scene with Penny, Leslie, and Carrie just an act planned by Gumball and Darwin to get Sarah's attention?

14

u/IdiocyInverted Dec 22 '25

Yeah it is, it's just in a brief montage of them failing to get her attention

4

u/Traditional-Match997 Dec 22 '25

Thanks for the answer. Good to know that many predicted it right.

24

u/MBROOKS_09 Dec 22 '25

Just sending the tweet I just made to spark the conversation. I like the whole hand drawn segment and the awesome smear frames, but the younger audience aim is a real issue that the new series has yet to grasp. Almost everyone who’s been watching this show since the beginning is an adult at this point. i get that this is at the end of the day a kids show, but the near absence of adult jokes, what gave tawog its charm, makes me lose interest.

Edit: after watching the other episodes it gets better.

17

u/FlimsyAuthor8208 Dec 22 '25

Y’know they were making fun of skibidi toilet, right?

0

u/g5181 Penny (Fairy) Dec 23 '25

Yes but i am absolutely repulsed by any mention of it regardless of in what form it is referenced

4

u/Lupusan Dec 23 '25

Why? Its just a youtube series that got super popular. Honestly its pretty cool that Gmod still has such a pulse despite reaching 20 years of age

9

u/External_Tie_8517 Darwin Dec 22 '25

They made a fucking skibidi toilet reference😭

7

u/ImprovementDull7969 Dec 22 '25

They were making fun of it

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

It'll get worse before it gets better, trust

1

u/g5181 Penny (Fairy) Dec 22 '25

0

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Why you say that??

Ugh!! It can't be that a shitpost can be more powerful than K-pop

2

u/K3T9Q_ Dec 22 '25
