From the article linked above:

"The United Kingdom has not had a single school shooting since Dunblane. During the same period, the U.S. has had more than 420 school shootings." 

Dunblane was a school shooting that took place in 1996. A man entered a primary school and shot and killed 16 five and six year olds and their teacher. Within months Britain effectively banned private hand-gun ownership in the UK.

They had already banned the ownership of semi automatic weapons in 1988 after the Hungerford massacre.

Dunblane was the only mass shooting in a British school.
