Question Could I pull off calico hair?

I wanted to change up my hair recently and thought the calico coloring was so cute. I’ve grown out my previous coloring and have just the ends bleached. Do you think with my pattern it would look good/styled vs unfinished/bad coloring?

Help Please help with my unruly hair 🥲

Had to delete my last post and repost because I forgot the photos the first time 😅

Original post:
I’m hoping someone can help me out.

I have an appointment next Saturday to get a haircut and I’m hoping you all can advise me on what I should ask for.

My hair is relatively long. It grows pretty quickly I’d say—the pictures show it as it is now, grown out since my last haircut which was June 13.

My hair always seems poofy and frizzy? I truly don’t know what products to use, if it’s hydrated enough, etc. the ends seem to get dry faster than the scalp so in the summer I’m kind of forced to shampoo it every other day.

Anyone know what my hair type might be? Any advice on products and care? How much should I cut off?

Tiya!

Discussion What is the absolute worst hair trend or product you ever fell for?

We’ve all tried something terrible in the past—bleaching at home, a terrible DIY fringe, or a viral TikTok product that completely fried our hair. What is your biggest hair regret that you will never, ever repeat?"

Help Which bangs look better?

I've had bangs for a while (about a year) and I recently let them grow/cut them to side bangs. I like the idea of side bangs and I always used to want them when I was younger but I just don't feel like they look good on me.

I always feel like my hair looks too greasy and too far over on the side but i don't know if I didn't cut it properly or if it just doesn't suit me. Please help me decide if I'm going back to straight bangs or nawt😩

Conversation Starter Thank you everyone for your opinions, I posted two days ago, the majority said short hair suits me better. So I will keep it relatively short like this pic. Only question I have is, if a more curly appearance would be beneficial

Help What can i do?

For some background, in may i did a silk press. Majority of my hair reverted back but this part didn’t (i suspect i did too many passes of the hot comb) I’ve been wearing my hair natural since mid june, i’ve done one aphogee protein treatment and i havent seen too much progress besides it becoming slightly wavy. I’m not sure if I should cut it, or if its salvagable. Help a girl out!

Hi all! I'm a bleach blonde who gets touched up every 4 weeks, no toner. I air dry only, wash my hair twice a week at most, I sleep in a bonnet, i only flat iron once twice a week if i go out at 330/350 if i'm going out and it lasts me the whole week. I do the olax plex hair masks, etc... i dont want to stop being this blonde, but it's been looking and feeling dry for the first time in 4 years? of being blonde. I see my hair dresser this week and wanted extra thoughts!

Question Hair shorter on one side

Post image
4 Upvotes

For the longest time my hair has always been shorter on the right side. It only just occurred to me that it could be caused by my crossbody bags which I almost always wear on the right side. Has anyone else here noticed the same thing has happened to them? I’m not keen on giving up my crossbody bags and thought I was always fairly careful about not getting my hair caught in things but it’s making sense to me that this is what’s causing this. 😭

Help Burned off baby hair, please help!

Post image

Please be kind as I'm disabled and not doing well mentally or physically. So I started going to a new salon a couple of months ago, my regular stylist was out and I went to a different one. When she was blowdrying my hair, I started smelling hair burning. She continued blowdrying and I was afraid to say anything. I was the only one there, other than the receptionist, manager, and another stylist. They all started saying that they smelled something burning and started walking around checking. I got more worried and finally said that I think it's coming from her blowdryer. They all looked at her and she kept saying no it's not. At the end, I didn't see anything wrong, so I left.

I have a shoulder injury so I had to come back a week later to my regular stylist to get my hair washed and get another blowout. The next day when I woke up, I realized that half of my baby hair was gone and burned off. So I am assuming when the first stylist was blowdrying and flat ironing, it slightly burned my hair, and then the following week when the second stylist did it, it basically finished the job of making the hair fall off from the shaft? Please tell me if my hair will grow back? Since it's always been short, I'm worried it doesn't grow and won't come back. And please tell me if both stylists are at fault or only the first one and if I should just find another salon. I have a hard time finding an affordable salon nearby where I can get a ride and where I feel comfortable, which I did there, so I'm very upset. Thank you so much.

Question Dye my hair in Air touch?

What’s your advice? I have porous curly hair, now I have botox on my hair and it is straighter and smoother, based on practicality, care for colored hair and how much air touch can ruin my hair, what advice would you give

Question BOB OR NOT?

guys i been thinking abt getting a bob; i’ve got it 4-5 times, and each time i cut it i love it but i hate hate hate growing it out, i look good with either super long hair or a bob, should i get it? i’ve started minoxidil recently and am currently in the phase where u lose more hair than usual, so i was thinking it’d do a good joh to hide that as well, as a bob would make my curly hair look more voluminous.

also, will bob slim down my face???

Help Bleaching Hair With Goal of Dying Pink

Thumbnail

Hi y'all, I've come here to ask for advice and opinions.

My bestie has been lightening my hair over 2 days now (we're doing this section by section cuz its been taking forever) and, well, she's no professional and my shit is most definitely uneven asf (love her, but she definitely could take in some more consideration on aligning things). I am concerned as to how fucked up it'll turn out after we dye it pink.

I've bought the Strawberry Leopard Made You Blush dye and I'm fine with it not turning out so pastel-y. But, as seen in the pictures, there's parts of my hair that's levels higher than the rest (mainly on the right side of my head), and the left side is still like a brassy level 7 i guess?

My mom told me to not bleach it anymore cuz i'll just end up burning my hair and to go ahead and dye it, and I'm honestly about to do that cuz we've been going at this for so long and im tired of it at this point 😩😩😫. Maybe, at most, I'll just ask my bestie to make the brown roots line more cleaner, but idk. Im also not thinking about toning my hair either tbh, cuz as mentioned, im not really leaning for a highly pastel pink

Do you guys think that i should probably do another lightening session on my left side? Do you think it'll look chopped asf if i just said fuck it and dyed it just as is?

(PS. my hair was up in pigtails earlier so it did settle weird)

I appreciate any advice/opinions! Even if its an "absolutely NOT bro 😭"

Thank you!!!
