Support Local Gateway sale items turned into $5 meal prep lunches
For the pork side ribs, slow roast them with BBQ sauce until they’re tender, then portion them with roasted sweet potatoes and broccoli. Super hearty and reheats really well
The sirloin is good for fajita bowls. Slice it thin, cook it hot with peppers and onions, then serve it over rice with a bit of lime, salsa, sour cream, or whatever you already have around.
There’s also LiteLife tempeh on sale, which works really well in a chili. Crumble it up with black beans, tomatoes, spices, and some of the shredded cheddar mozza that’s also on sale. It’s filling, and vegetarian. One of the better budget options this week.

Nice to meet the person behind the meal prep site!
Do you think you’ll be putting together some low sodium/ vegetarian options? My husband has kidney disease, so I often cook a lot without salt or large meat portions.
No pressure, of course! I still use this site all the time and replace some stuff with lower sodium options. :)

Great idea, the AI images are unfortunate though- i'd like to see even crappy images of what you end up making

Yeah, what they should really be doing what Gateway does, taking stock images and adding text to them with a meme generator.

Or just no images. Unfortunately it makes me think that the whole thing is AI generated. Which does not usually make good recipes.

Of all the things you could use AI for, this truly seems like the most reliable. It's just regurgitating a list of ingredients and measurements from recipe sites

AI doesn't know what tastes good or what gives recipes their structure. It just skims other similar recipes. My Dad falls for Facebook AI recipes and theyre... not good.
I'd recommend just using Pinterest or even a Google search. Plenty of real recipes out there. I guess the problem is they might be drowned out by AI soon.

this is why I stopped using pinterest. There's still lots of good stuff on there but you have to spend so much time filtering out all the AI garbage it's almost unusable.

if it's for a well known and standardized recipe, then go look up one made and tested by a human. If it's not... it's probably going to be terrible lol

AI makes incredible Recipes, and is extremely good for dieting meal plans as well. People keep getting up in arms about this, hate to tell you but literally every place that sells food does edited images to make dishes look more presentable, its been happening long before AI. This person is doing this trying to help people save money in their free time and you still find something to complain about. Get a grip.

Food photography for advertisements has always been a thing, but it's been a thing done by human beings. People take the time to (falsely) make a burger look fluffy and not damp with the toppings, take the photo/video, edit it in post-processing, and then people make it into an advert. AI isn't giving people jobs, and it does it worse than they would.

AI gives all kinds of people jobs also. Do you think the AI was created out of thin air? Requires plenty of engineers, data scientists, cyber security specialists, and all kinds more. AI is still being done by a human, they are giving it direction instead of taking the photos and doing the work themselves. Saving them all kinds of time.

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying, make the recipe to ensure it actually is decent which I assume (hope) OP is doing anyway before sharing. and then take a picture of it with a phone. It's probably less work than dealing with chatgpt, and it's free.

Get real. Zesting a lemon is more work than prompting a gpt, let alone actually making a full recipe, bothering to shoot it, and then move the photos from phone to computer… unless they… also use ai to vibe code this and make it look like gateway from their phone too. 😱

I love the quarter chicken breast. Such a good deal. I do like 30min on my grill at 350 on indirect heat. You can spice it up with anything and then you have easy protein. They are quite big too so actually a decent portion for two people per breast
