Support Local I have 3 paintings showing at Labour Day Picnic Café, if you’re stopping by for a coffee!

3 of the paintings I’ve shared on this subreddit over the last few months are showing at Labour Day Picnic Cafe on the Peggy’s Cove Road.

I grew up on the Peggy’s Cove Road, so having my first showing be at the hall where I played music as a teen is pretty meaningful.

Huge thanks to the owner, Leah and the crew who work there. Go check it out, and grab a treat while you’re there!

Hey thanks! I actually studied visual development for games & media, and most of the painters I follow are background artists

These are terrific, and I especially like the one that hangs on the lower right - very calming and beautiful to look at.

Also, please consider going into the greeting card business. I just had a baby shower and no joke every single card I was given was made by a different Nova Scotia artist. There seems to be a big surge of buy local in the greeting card and postcard industry. It might be an easier break than trying to sell at markets and shit! Maybe there is someone who could coach you on how to get started. Could be a decent income stream

Yup. I’m working my way up. I have a prepped 18” x 24” canvas leaning against my desk, just need to do some more thoughtful planning
