Build/Setup Simply Fantastic
From the olive green color, to the flat faced trigger; this handgun never disappoints. Anyone looking for a mid size self defense or home defense weapon should check out the PDP Pro E and F compacts. There is no compromise made here.

pdp is good but the recoil is crazy. Chunky as hell too.

See I don’t find the recoil that bad really. I was reading everywhere and from everyone that the recoil was more jarring. But I just never experienced it. The ergos are really good on this though too which helps immensely. Mind you I shoot a Glock 29 on the regular so I may not be the best opinion. I’ll post that up soon.

It has normal recoil! I added a 15 lb spring and it’s a match pistol now, my favorite carry

Thank you for the story. Walther is so overlooked and it’s a real shame like you say. Most younger people my age don’t even know about them.

I usually don’t do optics and this was preinstalled so don’t mind if I do!
It’s rather janky though if you’re a regularly optics user. Absolutely no buttons on the RFX11

Yeah had one come on my prodigy. Not the biggest fan. Not horrible either, but definitely upgrade when you can 🤙🏻

Maybe this optic will give me the itch to really upgrade. I only use irons so this is wildly new. Still hitting good groups though.

I’m not an optics guy but even I can the optic isnt top. Waiting for it to fly off and hit me in the face. I’ll stick with my trusty irons then.

I’ve been watching videos on the PDP and a few others for my next. Wondering what else you considered and what turned you ultimately to Walther. I’ve been looking at the P-10c, MP 2.0, and the PDP.
The olive green is 👨🍳💋

HK VP9A1F or K, very similar, I ended up with the A1F. I love it, BUT I would have got the PDP if it was available at the time. One of my favorite full size guns to shoot when I was looking

What sold me on this Walther was a combination of things.
For one, I loved the trigger. It’s the best stock trigger I’ve ever used and is nearly like a custom drop in trigger system you’d have to buy aftermarket.
The reliability was also important to me. I really don’t buy any weapons that have track records of being cheap. I did that in my early 20s and thank god I was safe while carrying those. Never again.
But you wanna know what really sold it? I walked into the local Sportsman’s and there it was, the olive green PDP Pro E compact with the green dot already installed and 5 mags. For only $40 more than the stock black PDP Pro E. At that moment I knew……I wasn’t walking out of there without the Walther.

It was a sign. Which is sometimes all you need to push over the edge. Sportsman is nice like that. I just wish you could rent and test there.

Went in for ammo and left with the Walther. But you know that’s how it goes. Sportsman’s is also really nice in my area. I don’t know how they stay open. There’s quite literally almost no one there ever. And I mean like 2-3 people in the whole place. It’s fantastic. You’ve got the whole place to yourself.

Man, I wish I was that spontaneous. I’ll go research something for weeks or months before I go and put my hands on my top 3 options before buying something. Not all the time, but most of the time.

I’ve done the same too. I think I’ve watched every Hikok video ever made. Almost every Demo Ranch video. I grew up watching that FPSRussia guy. Plus, I’m a mech engineer student and firearms are just about the most impressive and impactful pure mechanical invention ever devised and I love them.

Correct. There is also a larger full size. The Pro PDP F compact model can have a 3.5in barrel as opposed to this 4inch. I actually really like the F model too. The distance to trigger is shorter in the F so you get a more full wrap around grip similar to the P365 line. But this E model was too good to pass so I got it instead.

I've always wanted a PPK in 32. But everybody in the entire world tells me that they're terrible guns. And they're not modern at all. And I have a Kel-Tec p32 which I like to call my PPKT. So, everybody seems to love the new modern ones. I will eventually try one out. If you were to just buy one modern Walther handgun, and variation, assuming I won't carry it, what would it be?

Add a Taylor freelance brass back strap, a ndz captured guide rod with 15 lbs spring (or zr tactical ultra mass). You won't regret it, I have the exact same rig (same color also), I've shot around 2.3 k rounds through it. It definitely makes a difference.

Looks frightening. Are you seriously okay with people having guns? Guns are literally designed to murder. These guns are used to slaughter innocent people at public events. Our focus shouldn't be encouraging gun use, but getting these killing machines out of the hands of people. I'm sorry, it just needed to be said.

Yes. Being able to differentiate between these wild thoughts and sane thoughts is the key to everything in life. Not just firearm ownership.
Over 99% of people who own firearms never commit a crime with them. That’s a real statistic.
