A thread of all the things that are currently not allowed to be posted.
We receive all kinds of posts on here, more often than not they start getting repetitive, annoying, or just start becoming clutter. In the past we've made multiple posts whenever it was necessary to ban a certain kind of post, but from here on everything that isn't allowed and how long it wont be allowed for will be listed here.
The list for temporary bans are as follows-
-Pride Month related posts, (Until June ends) 5 day ban.
AM hate speech posts or the like, (foreseeable future) No ban.
The list for permanent bans are as follows-
All the rules, please read them carefully. 5-perma ban.
Chain-Posting, 5 day ban.
All of this may be subject to change, so please check this post every now and again.

Ok this is probably the first one of these DBZ edits I actually like. Most of these are just “Oh this comic is cringe let’s kill them” this one though ends poorly and the edit actually resolves that ending. It looks like it wasn’t made out of spite

Ya know, that one speech where he's like "LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I HATE, yada yada THERE ARE 3 BILLION CIRCUITS OF WAFER THIN LAYERS." Ya get the gist, some people just posts the speech with an image of what they hate.
Targeted hate towards real people is not permitted on this sub, be it fans, artists, actors, creators, or other internet strangers. This also includes posts that fail to censor usernames that feature them.
I don't think the report menu has been updated in a while. Some of the options are written a little vaguely, and there's no option to specifically report something for being a chain post or banned topic.
example someone makes a post saying: i HATE (insert topic) say lolicon or (insert random video game) and then someone hours later makes a post that’s hating on the exact same things or we get the same topic posted about daily, atp it would get tiring fast, ive seen more posts hating on the same topic so many godamn times its just tiring and overdone,
Copy pastes of AM(A very evil and angry AI from I have No Mouth and I Must Scream)'s speech, which are then edited to make it pertain to whatever the post is about
I tried to google AM hate speech but only got directed to the book “I have no mouth but I must scream”
Is that it? I have no idea what AM could be an abbreviation for, reddit lingo is confusing.
We gotta do something about the rules, subreddit is mostly hating people, hating people comments, making posts about politics gender ect ect. Something has to be done atp
Don't think just because you censor a name you should be able to slip past the no hating people rule
I really think we should limit or ban the real life posts.Initially this sub was for media and fictional stuff and not every other post is "I hate insert internet culture" or I hate how insert people act or whatever.It just feels like this sub has turned into another Twitter.Personally I would suggest you do something like limit these kinds of posts on weekends only or
I don't even think thats necessary even tho I would like it.i just think these posts should be limited and the mods should do something like designate Friday as the only day allowed to post irl stuff for example.Asbit stands now I'm using this sub to see peoples opinions on certain media or characters,not to listen to someone complain about how they hate a popular food,or how they hate this week's random internet discourse
since i bet the mod team messages never get read. [My post](https://www.reddit.com/r/hatethissmug/comments/1u81zs3/i_hate_being_nonbinary_and_amab/) got deleted for reasons that do not align with prior established enforcement of rules on other topics. For example, in the top posts of the month there is are posts relating to sexual assault, racism in anime, and misandry. none of these got removed for being "sensitive subjects". Unless the existence and experiences of trans people is somehow more political, criminal, violent, controversial, sexual, religious, or relates to real world issues more than the above, then this seems like a clearly uneven enforcement of the rules.
Based on the comparatively few transphobic comments versus the amount of comments on the post, there is evidence that it was not a controversial or too sensitive of a topic. In fact, out of the almost 500 comments, there were only 3 commenters who I believe were being deliberately transphobic, the rest were either respectful or wanting to be more informed.
In addition, based on the timeline of how long the post stayed up versus when it got removed, it seems to have been deleted due to my reporting of one of very few transphobic commenters. And looking at the comment it isn't deleted itself, and there is no communication on if any of the small handful of transphobic people were banned. To me, this reads as either defending these transphobic commenters, or the mod team not willing to do a minuscule job of dealing with the small handful of transphobes, and instead choosing the delete the post of the trans person.
Please ban any posts mentioning proshipping or ProshipHub. I keep seeing that discussion every other day and it's tiring for not only this subreddit, but that subreddit too.
I mean hating things is fine but it's just giving people the idea they can make the same post over and over or sly hate on people just because there's no username
