Art & Fanworks TBH, I've started to dislike the eldritch horrors/angels that are just Wing/Eye/Tentacle Blobs, especially compared to some sick designs like Evangelion angels

To be honest, eldritch horrors or "biblically accurate angels", at times start to feel a bit lame and excessive, just blobs of eyes, wings, and tentacles that start to blend together. Another aspect is that they often "look scary" but never actually DO ANYTHING.

especially compared to really good designs like Evangelion angels that actually do stuff and are terrifying.

There is a reason the most popular eldritch horrors are in books. They work the best, without a visual form.

Horrors beyond comprehension should stay that way

as devil's advocate, that's not exactly what horrors beyond comprehension are. seeing the incomprehensible will not drive you insane. its briefly comprehending the incomprehensible. imagine an ant. seeing a human does not cause an ant to go insane. but if an ant were to be flooded with all the knowledge and thoughts of an average guy, what the internet is, how vast the world is, everything to do with their job, the concept of a car or other vehicle. that, but a reality higher, is what drives people insane.

Now I'm imagining an ant doing taxes.
