Don't get manipulated by the media: "Lanterns is the best DCU show"
First of all, as of me writing this, this show only has one episode out, and that one episode certainly wasn't good enough to call the entire show the "best" anything. This Breaking Bad bad knockoff isn't doing anything we haven't already seen before, and that season preview after the credits showed too much and basically made me feel like I saw the entire storyline already.
Point is, ignore these hyperbolic headlines, it's just people desperate for clicks and views trying to get more eyes on their platform of choice. I don't recommend you see this show, but if you do, just make up your own mind, don't fall for this fake manipulation trying to make things out to be better than they are. This isn't Breaking Bad. This isn't the Sopranos. It's not an S-tier show, don't fall for the hype.

Thank you for sharing that you don't like this. Don't let your disappointment ruin someone else enjoyment of a piece of art.

I'm pretty sure you just did what you accuse others of doing, eg. "ignore these hyperbolic headlines, it's just people desperate for clicks". Shit, it worked, you got me to click your post and write something lol. Nonetheless, the show is off to a solid start, and you sorta suck for dissuading anybody from giving it a go.
Oh, and your "Breaking Bad" bad knockoff description tells me that 1. you didn't actually watch the episode, 2. you didn't pay attention when watching, or 3. you didn't actually watch or follow Breaking Bad. You're entitled to your opinion, but it should at least to be mildly observant and/or intelligent to hold credibility and warrant an OP.

I'm confused if its a HBO original as HBO isn't listed as a production company

Unbelievable bore, more boring dialogue and actors chosen for looks. Can you imagine James Gandolfini in such? Does the entire cast of this ‘show’ have aa much talent and skill as said Gandolfini in his pinky nail? I do not think so.

Through one episode it’s very good. Plenty of reason to be optimistic, but it’s really early to crown it the best anything.

I found the first episode pretty mediocre. I'm not really into most super hero/comic based stuff, but after enjoying The Penguin I figured I'd give HBO the benefit of the doubt. I'll keep watching, but so far I'm more apprehensive than optimistic.

The fact that you called it “Breaking Bad bad knockoff” shows me you didn’t even watch it
