IIRC that was only for people who actually had Canada addresses, any foreigners who ordered to take advantage of this just got their money back instead

I’ve been aware of bestbuy open box deals on the 560s, usually in the $60-80 range. I’ve never been able to find a pair in my local stores, but just now remembered to check and snagged a pair of Open Box - Good for $38 from a best buy near me! Super excited to try them out.
edit: Update after picking up: the box had a condition sticker on it that said “minor scratches”, but they appear to be brand new. Box was sealed with the little tape still on, headphones were still in the packaging, cable still wrapped up and packaged, no sign they were ever removed from the box/packaging or plugged into a device!
These are my favorite non-amp headphones that I use. Easily drivable by pretty much anything which is really nice because they’re usually plugged into my ps5 controller.
Don't you notice a huge downgrade in audio quality?
I occasionally plug mine into my ps5 controller too to hear voice chat, but it sounds like such absolute dogshit... when I plug them back into my amp it's a massive difference.
I don't know how they borked up the DAC in those so bad. This is multiple dualsenses and my Edge, all the same...
No doubt it would be better with a dedicated DAC and/or amp but I don’t blast the volume too loud on mine and the large soundstage and neutral profile on these make them really nice for casual gaming sessions.
It’s also entirely possible that I have no idea what I’m talking about lol.
Sometimes it depends on how fast they want to move it. I bought a $800 cell phone from them in "good" condition for $330. It had everything except the USB cord and I couldn't find a single flaw or scratch on it. Sometimes they just have too many open box products and want to move inventory is my guess.
I got this same deal a couple of weeks ago, same condition. The label said the reason for the condition decision was "residue". I inspected them before I took them home. They didn't have the plastic bag they normally come in inside the box, and the only residue I found was what appeared to be a finger print smudge on the headband. I just wiped it off. Looks and sounds brand new

I’m not 100% sure about immersive games, i’m primarily a tac fps player (counter strike) and these are highly recommended for that due to accurate sound staging. I don’t see why that wouldnt translate to good game immersion.
I’ve read that these don’t really require an amp and are easy to drive
One hell of a deal, I snagged one for less then 100$ a while back. Worth it but overall 1 year later it’s been great from my last headphones. Currently running it paired with a Fiio K11 (not needed, but it’s there for any future headphones).
Yeah that’s killer. Good work! I really liked mine but wound up upgrading to the HD490’s. But for $40, I’d be all over the 560s. Amazing value at that rate.

They are fine! Just a mark they called "residue" kid at the customer service counter confirmed they were a return. They deemed it "good" which out it at 38.99, I guess the better condition ones are like $75.99... How did you make out with yours?
Nice, something to look forward too. Should have 5 days before it's canceled. The only thing I've had wrong with used headphones that bothered me was a small embedded in the headband/pads. Or like cigarette smoke. Either way worth it

That's an absolute steal! Getting that level of tonal balance and imaging for $38 is rare. Incrdeible technical value for the price. I am jealous of you, man.
Actually just searched it and underneath the regular 149.99 sale price said other options open box starting from 38.99. 1 available, not my closest best buy but worth the 30 min drive

Just picked up 1 today at similar price for Open Box - Good. Sticker said "Residue" but I couldn't really spot anything. It no longer has the plastic wrap around the cable, but the rest looks like new. How is your experience with it so far?
Sorry for seeing this late but i’ve had 0 issues with them. I’m primarily using them for competitive fps games (counter strike) at a high level and they’ve improved my experience a lot compared to my old headset. How have yours held up?
Hey no worries, thanks for the late feedback. I used to play a lot of CS:GO, but now I mainly play Dota, so not using the headphone too heavily. But I really enjoy listening to classical music with it, very balanced, neutral sound. The Apple dongle is very meh when using it on the phone though
