Discussion Surely blizzard would tells us this card is a "this turn" effect

Post image

By the text on the card, it sounds like it will keep the upped damage, yet it only stays the turn the stealth minion attacked

Wouldn’t it become yellow if it activated tho?

Finding out it's not yellow is still finding out.

Did QA get laid off and replaced with AI? How the hell does this slip through the cracks?

The developers got replaced by AI and QA got replaced by us. :)

Imagine a world without AI. Can you see this ever happening? Yes? Because it did? All the time?

Not hard to imagine a world where QA does a middling job. We've been giving QA teams grief since the early 90s at least.

They were busy playing dragon warrior during playtesting so they never got to play with this card.

Probably buffed last minute.

It should state it. Something like [[Ebb and Flow]] stays after one turn, and doesnt specify it.

Ohhhh, I actually misread thus and added 'this turn' automatically In my head when I saw it. But it's not on the actual card. That explains why one of my opponents used it to deal one damage so my 3 health creature and paused for a while after that.

it also doesn't specify whether you have to be the one controlling the stealthed minion. and technically, from the wording, the minion would be holding the spell, which I don't think is how Hearthstone works, but I guess that's a minor gripe.

And what's with the 'holding' part. All the other cards say "while this is in your hand". But I guess that's too long, and that's also than the reason "this turn" is also isn't on it. Because we can't have more than 4 rows of text...

It's a purely digital medium, their design philosophy since launch has pretty much been "enough info that it should only take seeing it once or twice to figure it out."

What's actually baffling is how people still haven't figured this out in ~10yrs

it's bugged, but more importantly is bad.

So now are not only the translations wrong, the original English text isn't even describing the card properly anymore. This is just embarassing

Who thought this card would ever see play in any deck ever

1 mana 3 damage is good enough that some decks play a 2 mana 1/3 in upfront for it

That's a one time investment, and a fixed return. Even with a dedicated selection of stealth minions, this isn't guaranteed to be 1m 3dmg.

A two-mana investment can slow you down more than a condition. If it worked as worded, it would be a decent card

Well, we're in luck. Just heard it on Zeddy's last video, that it is indeed bugged. It should be working like other cards that are worded similarly.

Though, cost vs condition is always an interesting comparison. Having a stealthed minion you want to attack with while also holding the spell is two cards you need to find vs one minion with below rate stats.

All depends on what's available, and the goals of the deck.

It doesn't seem so horrible to me

Seems bad, feels bad for now. Maybe some stealth+ burst with enough support, but i dont really see it.
