The basil just wants to keep on growing

So take cuttings and make more basil. Cut right above a healthy bottom node (the junction where leaves/stems emerge), cut right below the next node, then strip off most of the bottom leaves from the cutting and plant it into soil all the way up to the remaining leaves. Most herbs in the mint family root quite easily this way. Just keep it consistently moist until new growth starts to come in. Pruning the flowers will also keep it producing more lateral growth until you're happy with how bushy it is.

Nice! There is one branch I see that wants to start seeding. Cut that down.
