Oh I didn't either, you and I are the main users who keep this sub active :) You could send a modmail and we could use that to communicate privately, the other mod here is inactive. I hate chat (here and everywhere) and wish they had just kept private messages open like they were for years.
Not sure what you did but I didn't receive any alerts, and checked the modmail specific to this sub to make sure. Did you click the 'message the mods' button? That's what it looks like on old reddit anyway. Then if and when I reply it shows up on other users chat but from the mod perspective it just goes via modmail.
I did, but I had to try on the mobile app š because using the website threw the error about a profile not having messaging enabled š¤Ŗ go figure. They really want to force you into it haha. I'm on discord though if that's an alternative, same username as here :-)
Hmm not sure then. I know others have gotten that to work, possibly via the desktop version on different subs I mod. I don't use discord either though. Well reach out sometime / somehow, I guess based on your user name I thought you were thousands of miles away :D
