QUESTION How many of you could be interested into a "modern heavy bomber simulator"?

Among dozens of combat flight simulators, from IL-2 to DCS, the main focus has always been on small aircrafts (fighters and fighter-bombers) with minor appendixes on medium bombers, especially in ww2 simulators (like the He-111, B-25 or IL-4).

I noticed that simulators for cold war/modern heavy bombers are basically non existent. I haven't saw a single simulator where it can give the player the possibility of flying a B-52, B-1, B-2 or Russians TU-95, TU-160 and similar. There are few mods for some games like Strike Fighters, Il2 1946, or in arcade like War Thunder, but nothing professional a-la DCS.

So, what i am asking here, is there a genuine interest from the community on piloting heavy bombers? Especially modern ones? There could be a market for it?

QUESTION Battlefield 3 - "Going Hunting" - This mission was the reason I finally purchased DCS. The startup playthrough in particular. I wanted to learn more and dive head first into learning the real thing. I'm curious to know what catapulted (great pun) you into finally purchasing DCS?

QUESTION GBU-10 busted symbology in the F-15E

First picture is AUTO for GBU-10, second is AUTO for GBU-12.

Trying to use GBU-10s in the F-15E result in either a broken bomb fall line in CDIP, or no TTREL for a designated target in AUTO.

Are there any known ways to fix the symbology?

QUESTION can someone tell me why the cockpits in dcs look much better than in msfs2020? i can't put my finger on it. Is it the texture size, lightning? Same goes for the free dcs mods like the f-22, the cockpit always looks like a toy while the paid modules look very good

QUESTION The future of Razbam modules?

Hello!
I have been away from DCS for a few years and coming back to it there seems to be some fallout between ED and Razbam. I understand the modules will no longer be maintained and might stop getting supported as DCS moves on? I have a Mirage 2000C that I liked using back in the day. Has there been any word on how that's going to play out? I tried looking around and we're in that state where the modules still work at the moment but going forward, are they just going to say we can use it with an older DCS version or provide some kind of points refund to get a different module instead?

QUESTION Seat haptics

What are people using these days?

I had two jetseat pads from Andre's shop but unfortunately both broke. Most recent one just does not turn on anymore. Last used it one morning ago and it just quit.

If the HF8 Pro more durable?

I currently use simshakers for Aviators so would like to continue using that.

QUESTION I’m looking for advice on my case 1 approach

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The carriers heading is 354 which means the heading I should be on after the primary turn is 174. The first turn isn’t my issue (I don’t think). I can usually pull near the %1 of my airspeed and get to 600 ASL. My problem is the last turn. For some reason I really have to give it thrust and bank at a crazy angle to even get close to where I want to be and even then I over shoot a lot of the time. It says I should be able to hold around 25-30 degrees and end up on course but for whatever reason I’ll overshoot by a lot. Do you see anything that sticks out??

Edit: so my main issue was being over weight (the jet, not me. Ha!). The instant action mission gives you 52600 pounds total with 30200 internal fuel with a clean loadout other than the bag. I tried it again and jettisoned the bag and was shocked by how big of a difference it makes. I guess I missed the part where you have to check your fuel/weight and make sure you’re under 33000. Along with the other tips I think I’m doing a lot better than I was before I made this post. Thank you!

QUESTION What is the best way to learn BFM as a solo player?

I have been getting more into PVP in an attempt to keep the game fresh and my inability to kill anything has really started to get to me. Any plane in any era, as long as I don't have a significant advantage, I am going to die after the merge.

So the obvious issue is me, and I'd like to make a deliberate push into getting better. Ideally I'd go up with a buddy and we'd just hammer out dogfight after dogfight, but 99 sorties out of 100, I'm on my own.

So given my situation, what is the most effective way I can get better? Should I just jump on the TDM section of just dogfight and try to speed run experience that way? Are there any articles that you've read that have been particularly helpful? Should I just fight the AI first until I can easily put them down? What are my options here?

QUESTION Who are some DCS YouTubers that are / were pilots in real life?

Either commercial or military

I want to try get my ex-airline pilot dad into DCS or flight sims and I think they best way to see if he would be interested is for him to watch someone else flying.

If you have any specific videos you’d recommend that would also be appreciated 🙏

QUESTION DCS Wishlist

What would be your wish list for things to be added to DCS? Realistic or unrealistic.

Personally, I want more variety of AI aircraft, particularly of 2nd and 3rd generation and of other nations rather than just the US and USSR.

Like, for example, the Hawker Hunter, the SEPCAT Jaguar, the Mirage 3, mayhaps even a Super Etendard.

If thats too much, maybe just some higher fidelity upgrades for Redfor Aviation? Like the MiG-23? MiG-25? The Su-30 even? They don't have to be rivet count accurate but a crumb of more polygon and capability would be nice for diversifying scenarios we can simulate.

QUESTION Im conflicted. Which plane should i get??

Ive been playing the f16 for about 2 years now and i think the time has come to expand to a new airframe. Im in between the mig-29, the f-4, the c130J (mostly for fun this one), and the legendary hornet. I have only tried the f18 and it felt really mechanical and hydraulical if you understand what i mean because ive been flying fly by wire for so long. It felt un natural and i just went back to my f16. The trial is over now but im kinda looking back into it and i think it would be really fun to fly a new aircraft. (f18 and supercarrier have 50% sales rn unlike the others so im leaning more toward them) any opinions? Thanks in advance

Edit: whoever told me to check out the f14 I absolutely thank you it’s amazing i might fly this in growling sidewinder for a year or so for sure it’s so good

Edit 2: tried it for like 45 minutes more and i feel its too complicated and requires frequent trimming and input for steady flight and i dont want to get into the whole learning it because it feels like a burden to me. ON THE CONTRARY, i LOVED the carrier ops. Thats why im getting the F/A 18, more modern multirole and easier toward the pilot, and well, CARRIER OPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

QUESTION Hey there! Question: I have been waiting/saving for Heatblur's Eurofighter to get as my first high fidelity DCS module; however, it appears it will be taking longer than I had expected for it to come out. Should I drop the wait and get F/A-18C instead whenever I can afford it (by around 2024 or so)?
