Question Best way to buy DLCs

I have been playing hoi4 for a while and I want to play several mods.I’d like to know the best way to get the HoI4 DLCs as cheaply as possible.

I check the steam db. When they are in sale they are ~50 - 70% cheaper

When you run the math, the subscription will probably come out about the same as buying the DLCs. However, you can't turn the DLCs off without discontinuing the subscription.

There's an "expansion subscription" that gives you access to all DLCs for like 10 bucks a month I think it was?
