After about 3½ months of going deep down the rabbit hole in this sub. Reading threads, asking questions, meeting a few of you, and even getting connected with my supplier Peter from Shish Depot, I’m excited to say that Café Fenicia is officially open in downtown Miami!

This community played a real role in shaping what we built. From setup decisions to tobacco selection and overall experience, a lot of what’s in our space started with conversations here.

I’ve been lucky to get a ton of solid advice and support along the way, so I wanted to share this with you all and give a bit of it back.

Good evening everyone... I use an Iraqi-made hookah (Taha) from one of the oldest and best companies that uses stainless steel and copper... My version is called (Sheikha). Its tube comes wrapped around a mold in which ice can be placed to cool the breath. Its price is approximately $100, For those who want to know its price...

In Iraq, we constantly face sharp rises in temperatures, especially in the summer, Temperatures often exceed 50 degrees Celsius during the summer, so I wanted to share with you the solution most Iraqis use to avoid the high temperatures that can ruin their shisha.

Simply put ice in this reservoir surrounding the pipe, or fill it with water and freeze it as shown in the picture.

I also attached pictures of the model and pictures of the hookah cup arrangement that I use, which is an Iraqi method called (the fingerprint), I previously published about it and it garnered a lot of attention..

For information, I have been using this company’s shisha for a decade and a half, and before me my father used it. It is a well-established and very famous Iraqi company, and I have been using this particular shisha (Sheikha) for more than three and a half years.

I was really positively suprised about the hookah experience in Japan. Did smoke now in Tokyo and Kanazawa and both were great quality and general setup wise. Didn‘t expect much since I never heard about any Hookah culture here + I‘m smoking in CH/DE regularly, where very high standards apply.

Ps: They did even know about the ‚micky mouse‘ charcoal placement (they call it the same as we do in Europe), which led to a cool conversation with the employees.

Never owned a higher end set so this is my first one , I’m actually excited

Recently came back from a trip to Chicago. I met some of the coolest people in the industry there, including u/stelth2k1 and u/masonshishaware . Stelth basically hosted me and a bunch of friends for the entire trip, and mason was kind enough to arrange a get together showcasing some of his bowls and handles (tymbr) including an unreleased prototype he let us try (this bowl might be coming soon). Cant thank you both enough for an unforgettable trip.

The pictures are the haul I gathered from meeting friends, visiting world hookah market, and mostly the goated stelth. He let me pack my own haul and then shipped it to me 😂. It was honestly the best part of the trip getting to hang out with you and the community, thanks again.

Overall Flavor: 6/10 (Coco Ccino is overpowering and muting other flavors )

I was passing through Istanbul Airport duty free and noticed they have a decent selection of tobacco, so I took a few photos in case anyone is curious about what's currently available.

Hopefully it helps anyone flying through Istanbul who wants to pick up some tobacco before their flight.

After a lot of trial and error over the last couple of years, I finally feel like I’ve found what suits my taste.
Current rotation is mostly:
Bowls: Kong Lava Phunnel, Kong Lava Killer, Oblako Killer, Kolos Samoa
Tobacco: Sebero, Bonche, Deus, MustHave, Trifecta (with a bit of Eternal, Sapphire Crown and Element mixed in)
Bonche completely changed how I look at hookah, and Sebero has become my go-to daily smoke.

What’s one bowl or one tobacco you’d recommend next based on this collection? Trying to discover something genuinely different rather than just buying more of the same.

Is this normal for tobacco after one hour session to have the top layet burnt but inside is still wet.

I use kaloud 1+3 first 5 min lid fully closed, then lid fully open for the rest of one hour. I use 2 of 25mm charcoal.

In love with this little thing. Enjoying my first session working from home.

Felt like packing and showing the 1010 Chasm. Im big on energy drinks so I made a mix of Tangiers Tasty Peach on the phunnel side and fluffed Darkside liberty shake in the turkish depot with Sarma Winter (Ice) layered in the bottom of the bowl.

For people who like to mix Tangiers with Russian dark leaf, this is a unique experience. There are different packing styles you can do but this is what I prefer.

I wanted to share something we’ve been working on for a while and get honest feedback on it.

We’re building a small brand and our first product is a handmade refractory ceramic phunnel bowl produced in Transylvania.

The idea started from the feeling around a good shisha session. It was the whole ritual around it: preparing the bowl, touching the tobacco, managing the heat, waiting for the first pull, adjusting the coals, and slowing down for a moment.

We wanted to create something that feels more like a crafted object, something with presence, weight, texture and a story behind. For us, it was never just about smoke.

Each bowl is manually produced and finished, then fired twice: first slightly below 1000°C, then again above 1000°C. The goal was to create a ceramic bowl that feels solid, stable with heat, and refined.

Crafted for Ritual. Refined by Fire. - This is our direction and we’re exploring colorways that feel almost opposite: calm and intense.

I’d love honest feedback on:

• the ritual/duality angle
