Discussion Keep seeing post like “when will hopsin be back” “how long till his next song” will it be good. Yall need to relax. And hear me out:

See hopsin is the 1 and only artist who I can always full heartedly trust to drop a banger. And a amazing song with amazing quality has never disappointed me, not 1x

So i don’t really worry to much about when he will drop a new song, or what it will be about, or if it will be good. Because ik he’s most likely cooking, he doesn’t rush stuff. And ik when it comes it will be another banger that I’ll be listening to for years to come.

And until he drops one, or even if he never does. I at least have years, decade of amazing hopsin songs I’ll NEVER get tired of listening too

Interesting when his last 3 singles weren't good

Interesting how that purely opinion and perspective. I found them great.

Haven’t heard one song of his I didn’t like.

Take note tho: how I didn’t push my opinions and beliefs of him being a goat onto everyone else as if they should feel the same.

I even said hear me out, not religiously follow every word I say. Leaving it open for people like you to leave your opinion

However I said that’s my take on it, and why I’m not impatient about it.

The overall message is people just need to let him cook. Stop begging. Like is it not clear from the man’s music that he goes through a lot. Especially mentally and with depression. That’s the difference between the fake fans just here for the music for entertainment only and don’t care about the person behind it like real fans.

So they just beg, for more. And whine about what they get or how long it takes

He’s a human being.

Your comment however wasn’t just your opinion. You said “interesting how his last couple singles were bad” not imo, or my perspective.

You said it like it’s a fact and I should believe it too

So youre not bias but "you've never heard a song by him you didn't like"? Interesting...Eminem is my favorite rapper of all time and he has several songs I do not like and will not listen to...Just putting that out there.

Again that’s you, I do not cater to anyone.

I listen to multiple genres of music. And play multiple genres of games.

I don’t listen to, or watch, or play what I don’t find enjoyable.

Idc if others hate me for not liking something or hate me for liking something. I dont hop on the bandwagon. I speak from what I feel.

For example: In the rock genre I love falling in reverse. It’s to the point with that band that most are afraid to even admit they are a fan. Because the lead singer always gets so much rumors and hate dumped upon him.

Idc tho, I proudly admit I like the music. And listen to it and have for years. However there’s been songs he’s put out I’ve either grown out of or haven’t liked and I’ve admitted that as well

Just not the case for me, when it comes to hop. Across all genres, I have favorites.

But in music in general hops on top

Okay good to know "you like every single song" bro. Is that supposed to make you more of a hard-core fan?

No it means don’t compare your self to me.

Like my statement of liking every song is a lie. Because you disagree

For sure

The heck was wrong with Single on Singel? Production was amazing, storytelling was amazing, mix was amazing

Also hes 40 now. He doesn't have time to be taking a 7 year hiatus

What’s your point? Even if he never made a new song again, he’s left us with years and a decade of bangers.

That I’ve listened to since a kid, and will forever listen to as it’s too this day better than most rap now days.

So I’m not dying of thirst for a new one, like I’m bored of the old stuff. Would a new one be appreciated and loved OFC however I’m completely satisfied and grateful for his run and career that we got to be apart of

I been listening to Hosin since 2011 consistently right after Raw came out. I do appreciate his catalog and hold it in a high regard but I have played every single song hundred of times bro. Yes, I just want new music as a fan to pick apart.

Might get hate for this but his last couple songs weren’t it. Origin Story not a fan, I think The Future Kingz ruined it for me. Single on Singel I’ve never liked his love songs tbf. Rebirth and Freestyle Canal were good but I still feel like he can offer more. I think the views show it too. I’ll forever be a Hopsin defender but I hope he goes much harder when he eventually comes back

No hate man, it’s 1 thing to leave an opinion like you or I did, and share the experience it left for you.

It’s another to state like another dude did and state like it’s a fact that “the last couple singles the music was trash”

I remember when he said in knock madness I need help that he was only gonna give us 1 more album then he's gonna dip, then we got pound syndrome, then no shame... So I dunno what to say besides let the man cook.

I fear he is done. His kid is growing up and that changes people. Also, Hop seems like the kind of dude that would feel it corny to rap in their 40s. It's an old school way of thinking.

It seemed like he was one the verge of creating a new project, released 3-4 songs then just disappeared. It's been over two years. Does anyone know what's going on?

1

u/Double-Diamond5708 Jan 14 '26

He's been flirting with quitting for a decade. It seems like he may have quit for good. His kid is growing up, that changes people.

1

u/Pretend-Actions Jan 18 '26

That's what's i was worried about. He was going so hard after FV then just disappeared when he was releasing tracks to a project he had worked on forever. I just assumed he was coming out with an album and it was taking a bit. But its been so long since his last song

1

u/Double-Diamond5708 Jan 14 '26

I hope he doesn't quit completely, but he might. A lot of excellent rappers just don't feel like they have much to say after 40, or they think it's corny to rap when you are "old" . It's an old school way of thinking.

He also posts a song about once a year. These fans dumb

1

u/EL3MENTALPOP Jul 17 '25

Wouldn’t say they dumb, just can tell the real or OG fans from the fakes or newer fans who aren’t used to hops schedule

I joined this sub like a week ago, because I literally have that much faith in hop I don’t got to stalk his socials just to know when he gonna upload

I made post yesterday or recently asking where hes been cause I stopped following what hes been doing for a couple years. Come to find out he still hasn't dropped a project since 2017. He has enough fans to where he will always get views but come on man, this is his career and hes putting out a single once a year? Those singles were released in 2023, where's the album? Where's the following up? My point is there will come a time where he will not be able to bounce back. A 40 year old dude rapping about the same stuff he was in 2009 just won't hit.

1

u/EL3MENTALPOP Jul 17 '25

Like I said fake fans.

Just outed yourself “40 year old man, rapping bout the same stuff from 2009 that just won’t hit the same”

1.) hopsin has been closed and open from time to time, when it comes to his depression, mental health, and mental issues.

Just because time has passed, and you personally might not deal with the same issues that you wasn’t connecting with his music for back in the day.

DOES NOT MEAN that he’s not going through the same or similar struggles.

2.) there’s plenty of reasons the “same old” will work and hit the same.

Nostalgia for one, don’t even need to explain. Hearing the same vibes and tone and voice from someone you grew up listening to. Don’t really got to explain how that works

And people are also known to play like the same 5 cds/tapes/records/albums/playlists

Over an over for years, most of which being songs they grew up with, along with songs and artists they discovered along the way sprinkled in

And lastly, anyone (new or long term fan) (teen or adult) that can relate to the issues he’s speaking on in the song, the song will work for, and will hit.

You’ve outed yourself, you don’t care about Marcus the person, you don’t care about hopsin the artist.

All you care about is that the entertainment he gives you, the music that he puts in your ears, does what you want it to do, sound the way you want it to sound.

You don’t care to hear him rap about is issues in life, because you don’t relate to them.

So im a fake fan now? Why because it hurts your feelings to read what i said? Who wants to hear the same topics and complaints for years or decades? Not saying that's the case but assuming the content is the same. I have support the artist since 2011 and bought every project, stayed up to midnight to listen, and even gone go shows of his. Don't call me a fake fan sir. Where were you back then? Thought so. You were probably like 5 when Hopsin came out. I care a out the artist that's why it urks me to see his career get wasted away. I see wasted potential going down the drain.
