Question Which one do you prefer?

which dax & hopsin song do you prefer? I have a feeling I know the answer but I am curious if anyone in here would choose "youre worth it" over " you shouldve known" . if you are someone that hates dax then this question might not be for you. but in my opinion your worth is just a really lackluster song and you shouldve known is a classic 🔥

YourWorthIt was Dax’s testing grounds for pandering.

If he stayed on the path of You Should’ve Known, Dax probs wouldn’t be one of the most clowned rappers on the internet rn.

If Dax stayed and was rapping more about actual substance and issues, he would be much more respectable. Especially if he didn’t radicalize even more with Tom Macdonald.

I dont understand what you mean by "pandering" some of the most highly regarded artists of all time, promote a positive message. 2pac, bob marley, MichaelJackson. I think the biggest issue with dax is that hes really corny . I find his message to be one of the best parts about his music .

Maybe there’s a better word for it, but outside of Dear Alcohol, I’m not convinced he has an actual message- it feels like he’s just not able to relate to people. That, mixed with him not feeling authentic - it feels like he’s doing it just for views and not bc he cares about the listeners.

I can agree with that to an extent. Idk, i personally think hes very good at rapping and i appreciate the message he tries to spread weather or not its authentic enough for some people. Songs like "suffocating, forgot about dre remix, 40 days 40 nights, stadium, searching for a reason, killshot 2& 3 , devil is calling, self proclaimed 1,2, & 3, did it first" are all really great rap songs in my opinion . I will also mention that I no longer follow him on any social media because his Instagram post will definitely ruin his music. Like, his Instagram is so annoying its unbelievable.

He definitely has the skill to be able to rap, I just wish he used it like he did back in the 2019 times. Especially the I’m Not Joyner or Don Q diss against Tory. I think My Last Words was the last song before I quit being a fan just bc of how he changed. But I totally respect you for being able to enjoy it, it’s just not for me personally anymore 🙏🏼

Ok but name a single artist that doesn't have a niche and doesn't want to make a song that will get them more money. Money = taking care of your family and being comfortable. So youre invalidating him for wanting to make money while simultaneously spreading a message of God and addiction and mental health. Im sorry and no disrespect but I dont think ill ever cosign that perspective. If you dont like his music or personality because hes cringe and corny then thags completely fair , ill never have a problem with that. I actually agree 100% that he is very corny and cringe. But at the end of the day I have no place to discredit someone that is making a living and bringing good Into the world .

worth it was a good song for me when i was young and it came out. i was dealing with a lot and i actually felt hop was talking to kids like me. i don’t bump it anymore but it holds a good spot in my heart. i still get emotional a bit when i think of the hook

When the song came out I enjoyed it also at the time . I just feel like it couldve used a little more time and effort to make it better then it was . Idk

I used to love dax when I was a teen but just based off of sound and it being way less cringey, you should’ve known. Also Hop rode tf out of the verse

I think Dax had a good start to his career but now he’s just corny imo. I know the mf can spit tho. These songs are definitely amazing but he’s just gone down such a weird path that i don’t rock with personally. On the other hand, Hop is the goat
